It's funny how similar us crafters are when it comes to organization (or lack thereof), getting rid of stuff, feeling overwhelmed and the joy and therapy that crafting brings us. I love decorating for the holidays too, Christmas is my biggie but trying to do some fall and Halloween. It’s a little hard with the weather 110 outside but I am so looking forward to the cooler days and evenings. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

How sweet of your husband to help you! Compromise is everything in a marriage, and since it seems opposites attract (It’s homey! It’s messy!), may I suggest you and hubby negotiate a “line of sight” for him that meets his need for less visual clutter, and a “line of sight” for you that meets your needs. Also, perhaps you could change out your decor more frequently during the season, using a few less objects, but still enjoy your possessions during the time you display them. I think it could work in your living room. My late husband and I constantly worked on this (he had the messy hobby). I still grieve for him (it’s been several years since he passed), but I’m happy we tried together (it was a challenge!) I understood better why his things made him happy, and he understood better why clutter triggered my stress. I enjoy your crafting talents. Best wishes!

Liz i am the same way my mental health has not been good either and i just lost my mom ontop of it. Decorating for fall and halloween is my favorite and helps my mental health also along with crafting!! I try to remember to count all my blessings. I pray for all I have and do my crafts which keeps my mental health in line. Our world at the present in not good and prices have gone up on everything and this has been a downer for many. I pray everyone can look to be grateful and enjoy all the small things in life.

I wish you could explain to my husband how much decorating for the different holidays is good for my mental health. He just doesn’t understand and thinks it’s just junk.
Aw man!! I am so sorry!! My husband has a hard time understanding sometimes too, we've been working a lot together on understanding mental health. I could go on and on. I struggle a lot with depression and anxiety. Especially after kids. I think changing things up and seeing a change in your home gives an uplifting feeling. Sometimes I feel stuck and have a huge itch for something to change, and by just changing up the decor can make a huge difference in the way I'm feeling. Especially when you can't always change the way you're feeling, changing the physical things in your home definitely helps. I hope he can take the time to listen and understand your mental health needs. It can be so hard when your partner doesn't understand. I've been there and am there myself.
@@LizabethMooreI also have a huge amount of anxiety and a panic disorder, on top of CPTSD. I'm just a bundle of fun!😂 but crafting is my medicine for all intensive purposes. I have to have the "craft room" and stash talk with my SO every so often too. I gotta say though, when I finish a project and show it to him, then he's impressed and asking why I'm not selling them!! 😂😂 men......🤯🤷♀️
I was just talking to my psychiatrist about mental health awareness and how important it is for our families to understand our somewhat understand what we go thru when we say we are struggling. I hope he stays to understand soon.
Liz, everything you create, make and stage is breathtaking. The Harvest Festival stencil is it not sold as a stencil only? I too love the fall season, every thing from the vibrant colors, cooler temperatures, and scents of the season. Continue to look after yourself. As women we tend to "wear many hats". As much as we feel the need to tackle everything ourselves we need to make time for our own well being. Much love!
So happy to hear you say “you need to give yourself some grace!” My rheumatologist just told me that last week. Mental health is so important and mine is lagging after four surgeries in less than a year! Also, what are you using to wrap your breakables? It’s pretty neat looking and looks like it does a great job. That’s always a chore trying to wrap and box up stuff!

A few things. You have given me the inspiration to put my fall decor up, today. It's ok to not be ok. My mental health won't allow me to leave my house amd when I do, I have to have someone go with me or I'll have a panic attack. Lastly, did you pick a winner from your video, a couple of videos back?
I'm so happy it's inspired you to set up for fall!! Yes, it's definitely something I'm learning. At times it feels like I should be able to be the best mom, wife, business owner, and when I'm not I have the hardest time not feeling terrible. So I'm taking things day by day! And being okay with what I've accomplished in that day. I understand completely not being able to leave. I myself struggle with social anxiety and going places alone is really hard for me. My mom deals with the same thing so we tend to go places together frequently lol And I did! I reached out to the winner personally, it was more of a personal surprise for them vs a huge announcement :)
Liz I swear girl if I could give u a hug through the phone I could girl my mental health has been on the Fritz for awhile to ever since I transitioned to a stay at home mom I used to work 2 jobs and now I'm home all day with kids😅 it's hard and I craft and decorate to be in my happy place but then someone will break it or I show them what I created and I feel no one cares but watching ur channel makes me happy and ur beautiful, amamzing and talented ok girl don't make me show u pics of my house it's bad lol 😂l😂 but Us mommas and women got to stick together ok love ya queen!!!! ❤❤❤❤😊😊

@@LizabethMoore to be honest if I lived near u I would by most of your decor I help family's in a small town in upstate NY I started almost 8 years ago first it was Christmas and then it became so much bigger people help family's in need all year it's a only free page on FB I love what I do helping fire victims or just families that need food and clothes my friends and family no once the end of September I start writing everyone to either adopt a family for Xmas even donate toys gift cards to buy toys going up kinda poor taught me to enjoy what u have and I just love to make other people smile take the stress away from worrying if they can have gift under the tree so I love your projects and it inspires me to make things to sell to raise money to help family's it bring me joy to make even one person smile 😊

We actually built it a couple years ago! It was one of our very first projects :)

No, I've got totes for each season :) I just have them all labeled. So the fall totes are empty until I switch it all out again.

It's called honeycomb paper. You can get it pretty much anywhere with packing supplies.
