I was a student of Jadavpur Univ between 1981-84 and Milanda's Shop was an everyday destination mostly for tea and when the pocket permitted the 'Dhop'. Milanda's shop was surely the most popular one among the students from the Arts and Science faculty students compared to the the Univ's official canteen - Amenity Center or the food stall at the Indoor stadium. Those were pretty much the only three food places inside the univ those days. I came to know about Milanda's demise some time back but your this episode brought back the image of Milanda right in front of my eyes.

কিছুদিন আগে বাংলাদেশ আসছিলেন, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ঘুরেছেন। আবার চট্টগ্রামে আসবেন, নিঃসন্দেহ বাংলাদেশ খাবারের জন্য চট্টগ্রামের অনেক জনপ্রিয়তা আছে৷ সাথে চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ঘুরে যাওয়ার অমন্ত্রণ রইলো। Love you Foodka😍🥰.

Good episode . But you must have one episode solely inside JU Campus. There are several canteens inside that serve awesome dishes & items . Over the years, they have served thousands of students , professors , researchers . Their contribution to the progress must be recognized .

Used to eat dhoper chop (or ‘dhop’) almost thrice every week during my engineering days at JU from 2014-18. Ei video ta dekhe abar giye khete icche korche.

Milan dar canteen e first year e pora kalin roj coffe r dhop khete jetam. Ekdin chicken stew e rumali ruti kinechilam. 2-3 piece chicken for 30-40 rupees. Besh bhalo khete. Durbhagyoboshoto ekta kaak urey eshe ek piece niye jaye. Aj bideshe boshe eshob kotha besh more pore. Thank you for covering this. Khub nostalgic nagche.

Amar department (Philosophy) e jawa asha korte hoto oi canteen er shamne diyei, tai okhanei beshi shomoy kat to. Aami pass out kori 2000 e, tokhon lokjon anek kom chilo, aar aantorikota chilo beshi. Alada alada department er lokera dhop aar cha khete khete mati te boshe gultani marcche, eta r anando kono star resturent e pawa mushkil.
We want Foodka to explore other cities in India , atleast cover the big ones Delhi Mumbai Bangalore there is a huge food diversity across all over and want to see them through Foodka lens

Milanda i Dhop kheyechi, tachara Chicken stew alu ebng gajar deoa, chilly chicken o kheyechi. Garam kale chire doi opore chini charano, jara halka khete chaiche pet banchiye tader option. Tachara toast, deem seddho, ba poach to raeiche. Pare 2010 around university gele Milanda te fish fry, cutlet ba chicken pakora kheyechi. Fish fry ba cutlet amader samaye mane 93 te kheyechi kina ekhan mone korte parchi na. Smriti betray korche. Tabe 93 te Dhop er dam bodhoi 2 ba 3 takar modhye chilo.
Dhoper chop was my everyday's lunch time favourite item in my JU time ,no dhop but it is true.

আমি ৮২-৮৩ যাদবপুরে H BLOCK হস্টেলে কাটিয়েছি। খেলাধুলা করতাম বলে সকালে প্রাকটিসের পর ওয়াটার পোচ আর স্যাকা পাউরুটি আর সন্ধ্যায় মিলনদার গুমটি দোকানে স্বাদ বদলের জন্য ঢপ খেতাম।

You may once try IIT Kharagpur if possible along with nearby places....Chedis (must), Flavours, Tech Market (fast food inside campus), Heritage, Sahara and Waldorf (:P). Tikkas (name of fathom of joints inside campus) is variety. Visit few Hostel canteens (Nehru (Aseems), VS)
