- The second leg of today's 35 mile round trip proved to be nothing other than enjoyable, with no trouble whatsoever - was I really riding an old British bike? It sort of contradicts what some seem to believe, going by some of the comments made about my video in the link below!

G'day Paul, nothing better than a good ride, traffic always gets in the way, later this morning it's Day two of the Girder for😅ked bikes and Singles up to 1970 tour, and I'm going to take the 1954 500cc Royal Enfield Bullet for a spin, its not been out for a while, checked everything, the crappy thing should be fine, this ride about 70 miles and the weather good, cheers mate ride safe, Neil 🤠.

Not too old yet mate! My Velo 'Venomised' MSS riding mate is 80 this year. He's not beyond holding off all manner of chasers on tight roads. I'm only 72, and even when my A50 is going well I'm working hard to keep up. We only go along at 90-100 km/h on the straight bits. Both our bikes have done well over 30,000km in the last 3 1/2 years, so obviously they are complete crap like your Thunderbolt...
Not bad at all for a crap bike ,good solid plodder ,what’s not to like ?
