      I’m trying to figure out how to fix this leak. I think it’s the radiator hoses but literally can’t find the hoses. My first bike is the r7 I got but confused at the moment

    Hi Scout! I have a 2016 FZ07 that I'm looking to start racing in a few months. Can you give me a quick idea of all the areas that need safety wired for tech? I saw you did the oil filter and front caliper bolts but I know there are more requirements. Thanks!

      It’s quite a bit and can be very different depending on the race organization. I can sent you the tech inspection for mine if you hit me up on IG @scouts_out_yt

      Yea I’ve gone through 2 s22’s in the rear. My first one was looking ruff around 3500. The front was bad by 6500. I’m currently using the rosso iii’s. They have held up well on the track so far but I’ll be getting super coursa next.

    Is there a proper way to clean the radiator from bugs? I’ve always heard you can’t clean it because you’ll bend the little grooves but the bugs just look ugly lol

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  5 месяцев назад +1

      if you are very light with a wire brush, preferably a copper one you can not only clean it but it will help get the bent fins straight again. but once again be very carful

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yea man it’s insane, I’ve had a few people tell me they stopped out their pan with 32. Yamaha should have to pay for that fail, I even downloaded the newest owners manual and it says the same thing, even more annoying is the service manual with different amount of oil that the bike should take lol

    • @1000750
      @1000750 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@ScoutsOut what!…different oil amount? I’m a Yamaha fan but that’s dropping the ball, for the plug it should be like half that, with the oil helping I would think 30 lbs would strip it every time. At least for you now and the wire you don’t need to worry about it and just torque what feels right. 🤙🏼

    Hi brother I got a R7 Yoshi full system, the first time I turned it on the smoke came out for a little and stopped but now I smell gas every time I ride what can be possibly wrong

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  5 месяцев назад +1

      The small amount of smoke is normal. As for the gas smell that is a little odd but would have nothing to do with your installation. Sry it took so long to respond but are you still smelling fuel a lot?

    • @SignatureAuto_
      @SignatureAuto_ 5 месяцев назад

      @@ScoutsOut yes every time I turn it on it smells like fuel maybe I’ll take it in to get checked out maybe a leak somewhere or possible becuase I twisted the fuel sensor?

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  5 месяцев назад +1

      The o2 sensor should through a code if there is something wrong with it. The bikes pops a lot with the new exhaust which is most likely from the extra fuel in the exhaust. If you are really worried about it take it in or put the stock exhaust back on and see if you still smell it, hope this helps

    Thanks so much for sharing! and for mentioning about the oil screw torque. Hey how did you secure the ratiator guard? I didn't see it on the video

    • @matthewhagerty3935
      @matthewhagerty3935 6 месяцев назад +2

      I'm also curious about this, I've sen a lot of R7 radiator guards had to be zip tied on but it didn't look like that here

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  6 месяцев назад +1

      What’s up bro! The radiator guard is secured by the silver 5mm hex screws that hold the plastics on

      @@matthewhagerty3935 yeah exactly! Lol

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  6 месяцев назад +2

      @@matthewhagerty3935I should have trued to put the complete install of the radiator guard together but more towards the end I put the plastic guards back on that hold the radiator guard on. I agree zip ties are not the best way this guard is secured with the 5mm hex bolts so it’s very secure

    I enjoyed the chicken noises in the background! Lol! Yeah, I looked at my radiator on my 400 after the break in period and already noticed some nicks in it. Promptly purchased a radiator guard and it has helped tremendously. I understand the wiring of the bolts. Keeps the oil and fluids off the track and debris from being kicked up on the riders. Pain but I watched STG video with Brian talking about wiring up Max's bolts for MotoAmerica and he has used silicon on the wires to keep them in place. Maybe a requirement for MotoAmerica but it kept everything tidy plus easy to remove when working on the bike.
    Cool video, keep up the great work and good luck on the racing. Like the way the track fairings turned out!

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks man, haha I was wondering when people would mention the chickens, they get so dang loud sometimes lol. The silicon is a great idea I might do that as well. Luckily with the CRA I’m racing in the banjo bolts are good with just putting some RTV on them.
      Are you racing a 400 right now?
