- trying to figure out the story of the new my chemical romance album since gerard way has been wearing all these outfits and someone posted that tiktok and if i can analyse three cheers after the album drops what can i do before they release their new album lets get theory crafting

I had always assumed that “Pool boy at the vampire mansion” was a reference to “To The End” specifically “down by the pool he doesn’t have many friends” but I could be mistaken.
I think this is true, because at the start of the song it also mentions a mansion with "He calls the mansion, not a house, but a tomb'
I think potentially the vampire mansion was set up to be a safe haven for vampires escaping persecution (big metaphor energy)
I’m calling it now, the fly ties to “the lord of the flies” which is a story that not only explores human nature (or it’s organisation/communities, maybe that’s what the vampire mansion is all about) but also AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: LOST OF INNOCENCE, which is the thematic center to mcr (like 9/11, skylines and turnstiles: can we still reclaim our innocence?!) if you really think about it, foundations of decay (get up coward!) acknowledges the pain of losing that innocence and trying to move forward despite all the wreckage, like you gotta build from that
My only problem with the MCR5 theory is that the theory’s name is conventional weapons erasure

Being deadass im glad it’s not an official album because it’d be such a stain on their discography. It’s just nowhere near bullets, three cheers, black parade, or danger days (plus it only has 2 GOOD songs)

As a very passionate mcr fan I really enjoyed this video, it all makes sense to me. Also, yes you are dumb! /j Gerard did actually write a song about 9/11 which is Skylines and Turnstiles! Just wanted to point that out! Anyway, since I didn't get to see mcr on the return tour I would love to see them when mcr5 comes out, and I really hope we get some more epic outfits from Gerard. Also, I noticed that you barley mentioned the business woman character that we saw at the Aussie and Japan shows in March, but I think she's gonna play a role in the story (possibly someone who worked at the world trade centre before 9/11?) Love the video, I enjoyed hearing your theories! My theory is they originally planned to do an album release in 2021 that was set to a theme of 9/11 - hence releasing an album during the 20 year anniversary of 9/11. But the pandemic hit & that was not possible. I think the album will still be themed around that. In a podcast interview Gerard said that since vampires became cool & mainstream they had lost a lot of their appeal to him. So I’m thinking there may be a Pool Boy song but I don’t think the album will be vampire themed.
this might not mean anything, but on the official youtube there is an album section. under there is foundations of decay in its own ‘album’ just speculation, but an interesting detail
Skylines and turnstiles is the song about 9/11, also i think the foundations song is revisiting everything in the past albums as they were the foundations that the band was built on

hear me out what if it's a comeback album and the vampire theme is to basically say the band's music will never die (like vampires) and the death motifs are just a reminder of the origins of the band, and also that the topics that influenced the creation of the band (9/11 and war) still not being resolved or fixed because "yes it comforts me much to lay on the foundations of decay" in the bridge talking about how people still are not actively trying to stop all the wars that went around just because they weren't as strongly affected as 9/11

IM CALLING IT RIGHT HERE. I watched a video essay by Wendigoon on the black parade and if his theory is right that the song “mama” is about the parader (white hair Gerard. The one singing in the black parade lol) and he’s right that the song is about how he died in WW1, I think mcr5 is gonna be about the Parader’s life/time in the war. JUST A THEORY BUT NOBODIES SAID THIS YET SO CALLING IT.

What about the mcr reunion tour video. Through out the entire video danger days is the only story line that stays through the whole thing till the nuke goes off before the guy goes through the door. Maybe it's the same universe but the after math of that nuke thus the war torn city with decay and rats.
I think we should just stop pressuring them about new music because if we do it won’t be as good as if they make it when they want to I. I too am extremely normal about my chem. And I think we should stop assuming that every time they are together means that they’re doing mcr things. They all have their own music projects. Also the tiktok does not seem reliable. Why would he just tell some random person wouldn’t the guys just want him not to tell people?
I’m all for mcr5, but let’s just stop assuming everything people say is true and that everything they do is mcr related.

I might be a lone wolf on these. Its still no album sadly. But i also dont think that they'll do something playing off of BP either. Im thinking that Decay was also kinda an odd one out. I say this because of how traumatic BP was for them, writing and touring. So much so that it took several years to make the next one, Danger Days, and that album just barely made it here. The biggest point of danger days was color because parade, forgive my boldness, gave them ptsd 😭🫣☠️🤣☠️😭 gerard is a method actor before a vocalist (ill die on this hill) and danger days persona about took him AGAIN 😭🥲 .
I think its more probable to go the re-record remix recycle our old songs into new ones route. IF at all. They have been having wholesome fun being reunited... The cicada's is because cicadas only arise like every 11 or something
