Thank you for the videos from Australia. It has been nice, listening to different types of birds and seeing a beautiful blue sky. Here in Oregon it has been overcast most of the time.
I have to be honest with you Stuart but in all the years I have been watching your videos (going back to pre-COVID) I don't watch your live sessions. I prefer to watch your short videos like the ones you have been sending from Oz. As you would say "this is my opinion".
Hey Stu, just a professional opinion from working with international real estate buyers in Spain over quite some years. Imho my realistic expectation is for a 20/30% downwards correction on the current property values in both Spain and Portugal over the next 12/18 months.... There's some property bargains to be had for anyone looking for a new life in Spain and Portugal if you look hard enough. I'm looking forward to seeing you back in Spain mate and hopefully heading to central Portugal sometime for a walking tour in natural beauty and some beers, best regards Marco in Portugal 👊
Hola Stu- ref the piñata of Sanchez, was it beaten with sticks till it exploded? Was it emulated? When you first mentioned the piñata I thought it was funny. Not surprising that the Socialists did not, as they’re not known for being a fun lot.
Hey, stu.great to see you read all the comments. As you pointed out. We don't have much control over fack news or information. However, back in the UK at the moment we have more than enough water to go around .. I expect by The Summer the water companys will be telling us that we are short of water !!!! I still wonder where all the profits are going...not on reinvestment of infrastructures!!!!
The trouble with Elephants is they are Big and very hard to ignore especially in a room but the drought will not go away and the politicians will ignore it to feed northern Europe
Interesting comment Stu on the Property situation in Spain - perhaps it’s time to consider Warren Buffets famous quote, “don’t follow the Hurd” So if you wanna be one of the sheep, this might be a good time to buy property in Spain. But if you wanna follow Warren‘s advice, you’ll move to Spain and rent for 18 months/2 years and when the property does crash, you will pick up a bargain. Unfortunately, a lot of people look at the UK property market and then try and compare it with the Spanish market. The big differences that in Spain there is plenty of land, in the UK, we are an island which is over populated and this keeps prices high, which means property will always be overpriced and never fall to a value that a lot of young people could ever afford.
Stu gracias so much for the updates. Imagine a leader of a country or a political party that may want to charge the opposition with a hate crime over beating up a Pedro Sánchez alike piñata. A PIÑATA, a doll. How can this individual be taken serious in the world stage. A piñata. Fugetaboutit.
On the property market, I dont think a crash will happen anytime soon. Unfortunately those high prices are driven by lack of supply so high prices will keep happening unless a big drop in demand but it does not seem to happen in the current international paradigm. Bubble it is but stable.
I don't agree. Look at the USA market as it's about to crash for several reasions. It will bring the entire world (Russia excluded) to helle again this year...
Hi, it seems to me that most of Europe has over inflated house prices, here on the Canary Islands property sells very quickly and I can’t see it collapsing in the near future.
I should think so, inherent violence is the start of something far reaching, hopefully Spain is not on the trajectory to the far right, for the the most part a tolerant and beautiful country.
Stu... It would that the Spanish people have gone back to type regarding masks and are fearful of catching a cold or flu in winter...loads of them wearing masks in Santa Pola for no reason except fear and obeying their government...Aimho.. And no offense intended to the Spanish people..Tony cuenca
Thank you for so skillfully pointing out to me one of the tens of thousands ways I clearly have only touched the surface of the hot skillet that is Spanish democracy. Your point that tax increases do not have the same political response in Spain as they do in the U.S. It seems clear to me you're not a fan of any of the parties in Spain. What I think you are a fan of, is representative democracy and free speech. To that I must tip my hat in thanks and appreciation for you.
Hey Stu, really appreciate your channel! Great to get the insights. Have you found that the way strangers react to you as an expat is shifting as the droughts put pressure on Spain's resources? Vox's narrative of "Spain for the Spanish" is concerning for anyone thinking about emigrating now; I'm wondering how impactful it actually is to individuals, especially from your perspective as an established resident.
there was also alot of push back about "black peter" in Holland a few yrs ago.... I dont see why they need to use people in blackface, just use black people for those roles in the parades. I see no reason for Spain to change for black or any other immigrants... its up to the immigrants to adapt to Spainish customs, and if they dont like it, leave and go elsewhere!
In 1933 Western Australia held a state referendum to secede from Australia. Western Australians voted yes and a petition of secession was sent to the British Parliament. It was rejected. Fast forward 2024 and these sentiments run deep WA locals even though more British live there. As well, the unions are weak as pi55 down there, penalty rates have almost disappeared from the landscape.
I think it's time for Spain to stop painting their faces black when acting as Balthazar. Nowadays there's no issue to find a real black person to act as Balthazar. Interestingly this cultural tradition also happens in the Netherlands, exactly the same.
Why should the Spanish change their traditions for foreigners!!! This is the slippery road to non-indigenous people making the indigenous people feel ashamed of their culture which is also their inheritance!
En Alcoy ( Alicante - C.Valenciana) está la cabalgata más antigua de España y el Rey Baltasar y los ayudantes de los Reyes Magos son blancos con la cara pintada de negro por tradición y así seguirá está declarada bien de interés cultural..
@@Benito-lr8mzWell said! Protect your culture at all costs - we British are losing ours due to mass immigration and allowing people into our country who have no interest in our values or way of life.
@@Rosebud100 not all old traditions need to continue. Bullfighting is a tradition and throws of folks call for an end do they not? Also the black face fiaso Stu is speaking of, the Madrid council had to apologize for not only having blackface but the white actor mocking an accent and speaking grammatically incorrect Spanish....how is that tradition?
We have been here in spain 24 yrs. Had no problems just dont stir things up. Accept the Spanish way of life xx

Viva Espanha 🇪🇸👏👏
I love Western Australia, and Spain. What's wrong with people??.

“My expectation is a 20-30 % correction “
That’s not going to happen !
let’s revisit your post in 18 months time
One wealth …. Are
you so dim that you didn’t notice the outlook for interest rates over the next 12/18 months ?
Funny that they say that Spanish property is overvalued by 20%.
They should look at the UK property market, most places over valued by 50%.

What water shortage? The Ayuntamiento un Jerez de la Frontera were using tankers to spray water all over the place during the summer.

Compared the money supply RE is still undervalued, compared to salaries it doesn’t matter as there is no longer a relation between those two values.

it's an outrage that Pedro Pony is subjected to such hate crimes and intolerance from the Spanish public - they are not worthy of such a noble leader!
