    thank you , that was very helpful as it is something I will be trying for the first time, I now feel more confident. Your chrysanthemums are looking very healthy, nice and full.

      You’re welcome 😊.
      Crysanthemums are so forgiving and a little effort gives more of it.
      You can give it a try 👍🏻

    hey Sana , can i divide a potted plant in fall before overwintering in the basement ?

    • @SanaAsGARDEN
      @SanaAsGARDEN  4 года назад +2

      yes, you should be able to divide it , much easier if you cut off all or at least half of the growth .

    My plant has only just started getting new growth, it is still 1 month until spring, I do not live in a cold area, can I divide now or I wait until spring and more growth? Thanks

    • @SanaAsGARDEN
      @SanaAsGARDEN  3 года назад +1

      That’s nice that its already staring to grow, if you dont have any danger of frost near you, it would be fine to go ahead and divide anytime, but I would suggest you to wait for some growth for ease in handling

    what is the best time to divide crysanthemums?

    • @SanaAsGARDEN
      @SanaAsGARDEN  3 года назад +3

      Spring is the best time to divide them , just when they start to push new growth so u can judge how many divisions can be made.

    If I have a huge mum that is going to bloom this fall, but I want to split it and put half in a planter for my front porch will it still bloom or should I wait until it blooms to divide it?

    • @SanaAsGARDEN
      @SanaAsGARDEN  Год назад

      It is better to let it bloom this year and divide it in spring just when the new growth starts to appear so you can identify where to split. You'll probably end up losing the blooms if you divide them in the Fall.

      Apologies! These were really the first few videos of me starting up and it was the first few times of doing voiceover.
      Took me some learning time to figure out the settings for recording and stuff.
      Please do visit my newer videos and let me knw if there’s an improvement.
      Thanks for your feedback.
