Learning from the ruins of Hampi | Engineering and Culture

I recently got a chance to visit Hampi and manage to see the ruins in and around vittala temple. I was really surprised at the knowledge of engineering and the advanced nature of the erstwhile vijay nagar empire.
Around 500 years back it was one of the most advanced cities of the world and people from all over the world used to visit here. The advanced aspect of the society comes to picture from the fact that women were equal partners in many things.
I am recording this video to share my thought that we must not discard the past without giving it any due respect. There were many things that were done in an environmentally friendly way and we can learn from it.
We must avoid reinventing the wheel and study things which are already there. We may learn a lot
