- S/S Norrskär, built 1910. 450 hp compound steam engine with Flodman reversing link motion. S/S Norrskär operates in the public transport system in the Stockholm archipelago. In this film she departs from Stockholm and makes a short stop at Halleberg (one of several stops) on her journey to Gällnö. Recorded 2010.

I noticed that the engine operator never responds to the captain's telegraph with the one in the engineering spaces. Is this normal or just him being lazy?

I'm rather surprised that the engineer does not answer the telegraph bell from the bridge. I guess the captain just assumes engineering will respond.
+Elodea That is normal. In a ship of this size the captain will notice if he gets the manouver or not anyway. Aswering will just slow down the manouvering.

No he isn't. Ear plugs are not the same or as efficient as ear defenders, the ones that look like headphones.
