Snapper Point & Ghosties Beach caves are wicked. I was told many years ago of people being rescued from the Snapper Point cave. Snapper Point is also one of if not the most dangerous/deadly rock fishing platform in NSW. There is a plaque as you walk out with a number of names from people that have died there. Wybung Heads is up there as well and the Trig point there provides an amazing view over the coast. You missed Caves Beach though, hit that at low tide and a low swell day and you can get further around and see some stunning beach caves there. I got married in one of them.
Cheers Mick. Yeah we could see it on Google maps but couldn't get round there when we were there! Ran out of time! What an awesome spot hey. We did see the plaque with all the names on it and there were some people fishing down off the shelf. We started to walk down there but it was pretty daunting so we moved on! Can't wait to go back one day.
@dreamtripaus my back yard for the last 12 years. It is a beautiful place for sure and especially during rough or windy conditions Snapper point can be very dangerous. If you get back here try get to Caves Beach on low tide, it is really beautiful. I've got a full video on Caves Beach.
