- Hey everyone! I am very excited for today's video. I finally pull the trigger and cut out (delete) the muffler off of my 2017 Dodge Challenger 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker. But instead of keeping it as a muffler delete or doing a straight pipe and removing the resonators (resonator delete), I replace the mufflers (mid-mufflers) with the Dynomax 24250 Race Bullet Mini Muffler. These mufflers pack a ton of sound in a very small size. I personally think it sounds amazing! It takes the sound from the stock mufflers and amplifies it - there's more grunt, crackles and pops, growl, and depth in the sound. All of this for around $200 so I think it's definitely worth it. Nice job on your video! The different before and after segments provided very good comparisons of the sounds. I also installed the Dynomax Race Bullets back in June of 2019 on my 2012 SRT8. The mod was definitely worth the money and saved me from going with the expensive cat back option.
Definitely a must do mod for Challegers & Chargers! I did this mod about 6 months ago and still love them to this day👍🏼

I just did the muffler delete on my 16 Scat pack shaker and wasn’t totally 100% happy with it, the bully’s you installed sound way better . Back to the drawing board I go . Cheers

As a 2015 scat pack owner with the race bullets installed, I can promise you two things...a smile on your face and turning peoples heads. Dodge really got it right with the stock exhaust, but the bullets take it to the next level. Lots more pops and crackles. Also, this mod should cost no more than 90-150$ its not complicated. should take no more than 30 min at a good muffler shop.

short answer is yes its better. its not to loud unless you want it to be and you dont get any negatives like drone and slight performance loss from lack of back pressure. i love my race bullets and it sounds almost stock when the valves are closed. it basically sounds the same as stock but at like 3 times louder (basically what he says)

I think you’ve convinced me this is the way to go! My buddy did the full muffler delete and it sounds good but it’s missing something! Idk it has lost some of the higher tones maybe? But this sounds good.

I know this is a two year old comment but on my old 21 Daytona 392 I did the vibrants and it was so deep that I felt it resonating in my chest in a awesome way. Definitely recommend for old school sound.
I replaced some flowmasters with these race bullets on my 1973 Dart Swinger with a Magnum 5.9. What a world of difference on sound and performance.

i had this exact same change out on my 2 week old 2020 Scat Pack. Perfect quiet at cruise, no drone. But when you give the car some gas it really rips ! I give this a 10 !

Sounds really good, and know a few other guys that have got the dynomax on their Challengers as well. I went with the SLP loudmouth cat backs on my Challenger, and sound awesome. They basically consists of open chamber racing bullets on 3in pipe and eliminates the resos, so they're nice n loud and are perfectly matched to the hemis. As far as exhaust systems go, they are the best bang for the buck at 6 bills. BTW I noticed that the plates are Utah and lived there most of my life, until about twenty years ago and now are located in AZ

I did mmd on my 19 r/t and it sounds great. I don't know if it's the 5" tips or not but it sounds pretty deep and not raspy. Loud warm starts and idles
@@OctonaBoyFresh My brother SRT Thr333 has the MMD on his Scat Pack Challenger and it sounds good too with a low rumble and not raspy. And some guys sound really raspy with it so I'm not sure what makes the difference.
I have a Corsa cat back but thinking of taking the mids out and just keeping the Corsa rear resonators.
Great comparisons! I like the cost associated with this setup! Its definitely louder and there is no rasp like a typical mid muffler delete 🤔. I'm sure there is no drone either. Strong amplified muscle sound! Excellent work! #saltcitymopars

I got a deal on the mufflers on Amazon. The muffler ship dicked me tho. $150 per pipe. I didnt even ask the price before so I just paid it, fk it. So about $360 total after tax. Still love it! Sounds 👌. Thanks for the advice.

I went with these mufflers after extensive research on RUclips and it was the best choice I ever made. The previous owner did the muffler delete and it was just way too loud and untamed in a bad way. I have the 6p manual and I like to just let it Coast coming to a stop sign or light because the pops and crackles are music to my ears. I told a guy I spent about 200 or 300 bucks because I got the quad exhaust tips as well and he thought I said two or three thousand and I said no two or three hundred and he was absolutely shocked. He said he was going to go put them on his Porsche Cayenne right away. I can't stress enough how much better these mufflers make the whole exhaust sound. It is an absolute waste of money to spend thousands on a Cat-Back system. Kudos to the guy that made this video he really did a great job.
Does it matter which way the mini race billets face when installed? I noticed that one side is shorter, I get mine installed Tuesday !
@@christianbaya3129 I have no idea but based on the way the inside looks I think it's basically reversible. It should sound the same either way. Did you keep the resonators on in the back?

@@christianbaya3129 I was going to say definitely keep the resonators. I keep it in regular mode most of the time... Saving sport mode for special occasions and when I know I'm going to be driving aggressively. There's definitely a difference in the sound and I think it's a nice contrast. You're going to dig it man!

Hi I just did dynomax 24250 to my challenger scat pack. When I try to be aggressive feel like lost power or lost something. Can anyone tell me what’s going on and how to fix it. Does it matter how you install it which one is the back and front.

I had a mid muffler delete on my charger 392 and went to this afterwards and the only regret I have is I should of put the mini bullets on first highly advise anyone on the fence do the mini race bullets the sound is so much better than a mid muffler delete.

I'd definitely recommend it! Good question, so I plan to upgrade the exhaust on the Hellcat but thinking of trying something different. I loved the dynomax but for the sake of trying something different I want to look at other options.

I got manual sounds awesome. Haven't lifted the car to look exactly yet. Just bought and not sure what all has been done exactly by the original owner. I looked under and good sold wields. But I know there is no result and muffler.
I’m definitely this spring or summer doing a mid muffler delete on my new challenger TA392 widebody. But idk which ones to go with I’ve heard neither in person, It’s between these or the a vibrant 1794’s. Has anyone heard both in person and can give a comparison?

I found this video very helpful. I want to put quad tips on but I don't know if there will be enough room to put them on with the stock rear resonators. I am thinking on another set for the tail end and mount the quad tips to them. has anyone tried that? I was also considering Flowmaster Super 10's in the middle with the Race Bullets at the rear with Quad tips attached. My last Challenger (5.7) I went with Flowmaster Super 44s with 3" pipes to quad tips, no rear resonators. It had that Flowmaster growl (got a lot of compliments) but I lost low end tones.

The exhaust sounds fantastic. I actually installed glasspaks and did a =n end muffle delete and i love the deep sound I'm getting on my SXT. Would you please tell me the tire set up you have going on your car? The rear look larger than the front and I want to do something similar. Thx for all you're doing out there!! Dave
Awesome man! So I've got 315s in the back and 275s in the front. They are riding on stock ScatPack wheels. It's not recommended to go that wide on stock wheels but I never had issues

This sounds awesome, Im thinking about doing something to my T/A exhaust. Start off with mid delete or some outlaws leaving the resonators also.. but these sound good too. Think outlaws will be more loud? Like too much?
Know any differences between the scatpack and t/a exhausts?
The ScatPack and T/A exhaust should be the same as long as we are talking the 6.4L Hemi. I haven't heard about the outlaws. I will say these sound fantastic on the ScatPack so I imagine they'll sound the same on the T/A

Hey Schwayz, you are the ultimate Dodge challenger YT channel I guess.. whatever I look it's there :) One question : 0-10 , assuming stock being '4', how much loud is this one? When my stock 2021 V8 when I press pedal, I hear pops (and I love it), does it also do the same? Any other mods to get more pop sounds you may came across? Is there any other Race bullets (other brands) you came across performed better than this? I know many questions but I hope you will reply to all of it. TIA. Hey man so I would say it increases it to about a 6 and maybe a 7 at wide open throttle. You definitely still get the pops. If you want the pops louder I'd say do a muffler delete but then it brings the loudness up to a 9 or 10. As for other other muffler's theres quite a few (glasspack, cherry bomb, magnaflow, vibrant) but I'm not as familiar with them. I've heard the glasspack and they sound really good too

I just ordered these and replaced the mid mufflers…it sounds the same.. I have a 2016 Standard Challenger. Now I’m removing the cat 🐈 cuz I need some sound. Idk why it sounds the same?
I finally go it done SchwayZ_! The reason I was hesitant is that a lot of people record their before and after with smart phones. The phones do not pick up the low frequencies and have an Automatic Gain Control so the Bullets do not sound much louder and only raspy on many videos. After hearing them in person I got mine put on. I have MFERs holding the baffles open as well. I have some before/after clips done with a GoPro H7 where if listening through PC Speakers with Subwoofer is a pretty accurate representation of the change (but lower volume for both).
People need to hear them in person. They are not only louder but deeper sounding than the stock mufflers.
Yep for sure man. A camera doesn't do it justice. I use a professional camera in my newer Dynomax video but it still doesn't convey the sound. Glad you like them!

I ordered these on Amazon for my brand new 21 Challenger scat with 6 spd manual. Not gonna lie, I'm having second thoughts. Feels like I'm doing this too soon. My stock sounds amazing. Just wanted to add a little volume too it. Feels like these might be too much. Oh well didn't cost me but 43 bucks. Not saying I'm not gonna install them. Just saying I'm nervous about losing that amazing tone on my stock. Not a fan of how yours sounded idling.

Awesome man! So I never noticed a huge drone with the 4 cylinder mode. Maybe it was a tad bit dronier than stock but not very noticeable. Definitely still worth it!

StephIsCold get the mid mufflers deleted its $80-100 step 1 go to muffler shop. Step 2 tell them you want mid muffler delete. Step 3 drive away and you’ll be smiling about how cool ur shit sounds.
Dont delet the mufflers. just replace them with the dynomax race bullets. Its plenty loud and doesnt give you a drone. I also have a vid doing a pull showing how loud it is

I'm debating on replacing the muffler with either these or flowmaster 10s, if you can post a link where to purchase these I'll get these I love love love the sound sounds deep not pricey raspy sounds mean too but not too loud. I plan keeping res on and not deleting anything.
@@jennifertrevino8004 yea i kept my resonators. Im not sure what one will go on the v6 i will have to look. I think mine were 3inch but an exhaust shop should be able to go up in size. The number for mine was 24250 and they are on jegs for like $20. I would ask a local shop if they can fit them to your exhaust. I have seen race bullet put on all sorts of vehicles and i think even v6 mustangs and challengers. Im sure somone has made a video on it. I think part number 24215 is a 2.5inch version from what i found on advanced auto

Nope it is not necessary however my mechanic wanted to ensure that the weld was done correctly all around the exhaust so that there were no leaks. Depending on the shop you go to they may not remove the exhaust... although it's not very difficult and I would recommend it
Sounds great, I agree with the making sure the welds are complete on top. Sometimes you hear flapping noises from these delete videos like there is a leak somewhere.

Thanks for watching! Yeah so for my hellcat I actually ended up getting an adaptor from 2.75 to 3 inches on Amazon which was used to attach the existing pipe with the race bullets. If you go to a muffler shop they should have extra pipe for that

Just keep in mind youll need 4 adaptors since there's 2 for each side. And you may need extra pipe but you could probably get away with just 1

Ok sorry I don't know much about cars but when people get a mid muffler delete. Do you need to buy some extra part or something? If that makes since. I saw a guy on yt he got a mid muffler delete and he switched his resonator with the mini bullets.
No reason to be sorry man. We are all learning these things at some point or another. So you can swap the resonators or the mufflers with the Dynomax race bullets. You may need to get some extra exhaust pipe at your auto parts store because the dynomaxes are probably going to be shorter than the mufflers or resonators. No, it doesn't trigger any lights or void anything
Does it make a difference with the active exhaust system like from sport mode to track mode
So I ran some tests with sport mode and regular mode in the video but I couldn't really tell a big difference. It's not as big as difference as with the regular mufflers

I'd say it amplified the pops that I would get on the stock exhaust. It's not crazy strong pops but you can hear them

I went and got it myself at autozone but if you're taking it to an exhaust shop they should have extra pipe. I would just check with them before you go

Daniel Vasquez you have a v6 half the size of that big Hemi. However, I did have a Chrysler 300 with that motor. Leave your mufflers alone and have your shop remove the resos at the back. It won’t sound like a V8 but it will have a nice sporty sound you’ll like

On the idle maybe. The race bullets are known for its snap and crack

It's up to you. I haven't heard the dynomaxes on a V6 but it should still improve the sound compared to stock

What size is the additional pipe that is required?
Depends on which vehicle you have. On the scatpack its a 2.75" exhaust so you can get that size of pipe or get a 3" to slide into and weld around. I'd consult with your installer to see what they would prefer
