mine just got taken away put into care, which did more harm than good but i fought for him got him back hes 19 now finally diagnosed and ticking over and aware of many things :)
I hope there is a centre like this everywhere in the world. No family should feel like they don't have a support system. I hope these children grow up and have amazing lives and achieve wonderful things.
I'm 13 and I have Asperger's syndrome. Unfortunately, mine was hard to diagnose because I also have Tourette's syndrome, GID, Severe Anxiety and OCD, and Vasovagal Syncopé, luckily all diagnosed now. Because of the combination of all of my symptoms, unpicking it was hard. I am beginning to also struggle with depression, because they all just diagnose me, say there is no treatment or a cure for any of my conditions except GID, and tell me to move on.
5:30 "If a child no longer meets behavioral criteria for autism they don't have autism." How ignorant! I agree that a lot of these methods help but this child still has autism. I don't meet the behavioral criteria for autism because, especially being a female with it, I learned how to hide my autism from a very young age. Autism is not "behaviors" it's how my brain is wired, it is apart of who I am. I'll always have it, I always want to have it! Help your kids but don't do it so that they'll be normal for you or anyone else.
Right, it's literally a NEURODEVELOPMENTAL disorder. My brain is literally, physically, different. Yes that effects behavior, and sure with training behaviors can change. But that doesn't change the fact that my brain will forever be different than the neurotypical brain, and that because of that I will always perceive the world around me in a different way than most people do.
These kind of comments are sooo annoying. Some high functioning autistic adults get stupidly caught up on simple things. Keep your autism, be as autistic as you want and function yourself around. Make sure you are able to take care of your basic needs, make sure you are able to respond to basic social inquiries and keep your autistic brain. No one is trying to take it away from you. As a parent of an autistic child, I’m simply providing tools to my child to function and to meet his basic needs in this world. My autistic child gets over stimulated so I have to give him a proper environment, he wants to talk but he can’t so I have to provide tools for him to speak. He has challenges on meeting his basic needs so I have to give him tools for it. Stupid!!!! We are not trying to take their autistic brain away. We parents simply want a human dignified quality of life. A thank you for all the work these people do would be enough. Take your judgment somewhere else.
There is permanent herbs to improve and heal autistim. It’s a medicine you can get from Dr Oyalo RUclips channel, his herbs have made my son improve perfectly in his speech and social skills. He is now verbal, responding to name and instructions
@@pc2080 What the fuck are you on about? Can you neurotypicals not fucking read? They literally said they "agree that a lot of these methods help" and were specifically responding to the woman's comment at 5:30, which I agree is an asinine thing for a professional in this field to say.
No, it doesn't always make a huge difference. You can love your child to death and get all the therapies, and they still may not improve. Of course, kudos to these parents for being able to get their child into the study.

I Have Mild Autism, I Remember Going to a Group Where One Twin of a Set of Non-Identical Twin Girls Came to the Same Group, the One That Went to the Group Had Severe Autism and was Non Verbal, but Her Twin Sister was Either a Typical Child for Their Age That I Know of
Parents and grandparents of children on the autism spectrum are desperate for treatment. In the south the waiting period to even get a test at the autism center in Atlanta is long and even longer to get the written evaluation. If this handicap is so pervasive why aren't we able to get help for our children in the critical developmental stages before school age. We pare d's and caregivers are in anguish over the inability to find aba therapists in our rural area.
There is an extremely bold line between autistic and having diabetes. Diabetes is caused when your body puts in too much or too little insulin to maintain your blood sugar. Autism is (i have really no idea how to explain it) something that sort of makes your brain think differently than "Normal people". With autism you can teach people how to know when somebody is using sarcasm or when it's an appropriate time to say this or that. You cant teach your body how much insulin you need to live.
yeah I've been asking myself the same thing and it's possible, but if you look at the results of all 48 children that were part of the ESDM program, 7 of them had an improved diagnosis, only 1 did in the community program. This has to mean that there is something to it, though, maybe I'm missing something.
I have autism and it is always going to be with me I was diognosed in 2015 which means my autism was missed for 15 years of my life but I diognosed myself at 6-7 years old because I knew what autism is my brother has Asperger's syndrome so don't take on this study because there just trying to hide the autism by training your brain to do things what a "normal" person would be able to do. Disgraceful let children be children I say
There has been some ongoing research by one scientist in America regarding the use of antibiotics for babies less than 3 months and causation. A related issue is that some autistic symptoms have been shown to improve with the use of probiotics (or is it prebiotics - I can never remember which is which), but not all children. I saw it on a documentary but cannot remember the name of the scientist/doctor doing the study. The problem with any type of research on such a subject, be it vaccines or antibiotics, is that you can't use proper scientific methodology to conduct a study, taking out all variables, using a 'blind' group etc, as it would be very unethical, so you will never get a definitive 'cause'.
C Pando you obviously are blind to the fact that autism is not an illness it's a mental disorder take it from someone who actually has it and am dam proud to say I have autism I will not be bloody cured I have got two deplomas passed my GCSEs in mainstream school. You should talk to real autistic people before making the assumption that we should be ' cured' with your bullshit treatments
I don't believe they do, but I don't believe there's any profe that they never cause autism. The ownder of that Channel is entitled to his or her own opinion.
Yes. There are studies of twins where one has autism and the other doesn't. Can even happen with identical twins. Same with other conditions and disorders.
my brother was delayed in speech and he gets angry when nobody understands him.. he was even delayed in reading until 3rd grade... but he doesn't have autism.. i, on the hand, have aspergers... only at 22, i was known...
autism isnt cuse by vac .autism has been around forever they just no more when i was litte no one new jack my mom was part of the refgouter moms an stuff
These therapists are teaching these children how to talk, listen, play, use their toothbrush... Their parents could have done that. Ii think they need to start sending parents to school on how to raise children. I worked with autistic children for many many years and most "autistic" children are not even autistic!!!
My sister doesn't have autism and I do. We are twins. I don't need a cure I need a understanding. Some people think autism means they are a brat. This world is ignorant of autism.
This is what Early Intervention is all about. THANK YOU for all that you and your colleagues do for our field!!!

Our son was diagnosed at 17 months. The earlier the better to start aba!

Is this similar to aba?
After should I meant to put ( not) its the dumb spell check

It's criminal that this treatmet therapy is not given to all kids at risk for autism when it is clearly available.

There are no kids "at risk" for autism. It's not something you develop; either you're born with it or you're not.
Ver good I have autism
Why did RUclips recommend this to me? ._.
I don't believe they do, but I don't believe there's any profe that they never cause autism. The ownder of that Channel is entitled to his or her own opinion.

Hey I have autism and not everyone can talk
I must be a horrible parent then according to what yours saying, pretty much a stupid parent.
I don’t consider my autism a disability. I don’t need to be ‘cured’
my brother was delayed in speech and he gets angry when nobody understands him.. he was even delayed in reading until 3rd grade... but he doesn't have autism.. i, on the hand, have aspergers... only at 22, i was known...

Much different? Do people not proof read scripts for this channel?!?!

Viviane Miranda the twin would have had the same amount of attention and taught the same things and she turned out fine... your point is??
My sister doesn't have autism and I do. We are twins. I don't need a cure I need a understanding. Some people think autism means they are a brat. This world is ignorant of autism.
@Russell Copeland im sure its the tax payers $ thats paying for this and not the parents.
Is there a difference in intelligence? Smarter I'm assuming, in THIS case.
Diabetes is not neurological. Autism is. its physical vs mental. They're two different things
