To create a tree ring like the one in the video, you can build one using the instructions to build a retaining wall, which you can find in this video: • Video
Use the colors of the tree as a guide to picking your flowers. If your tree is an evergreen, use deciduous shrubs and place your lowest plants in the front. You can always switch out your plants as the seasons change.
Call 811 to get a utility company to mark any utility lines. Rake up any mulch in the area in which you are planting. If you are planting in sod, mark off your area with your garden hose, and remove the sod with a flat shovel. Use a cultivator or spade to break up the soil. Use landscape fabric to control weeds.
Plan your plans, cutting an x to mark where the plants go. Dig the holes about 2-3 inches deeper and wider than the pots they come in. Add enriched soil in the bottom. Grab the plant by the stem, squeeze the pot to release the soil, gently remove and loosen the roots. Place the plant in the hole and add soil.
After all plants are in the soil, cover with a thin layer of soil, and then mulch. Water once a day the first week and once a week for the entire growing season. Learn how to make a drip irrigation system with this video: • Video

Hi Ekta - We would recommend some kind of fertilizer to amend the soil. You can use natural fertilizers like cow manure and compost. There are also quality soils with fertilizer mixed in.

Landscaping and landscape construction involves a certain amount of a creative spark. I have always been interested in garden landscaping as there are so many different things that can be done to a garden. I have often used the services of a landscaping company called Whitehall Landscapes who are extremely creative and professional in the work they carry out. However, it always intrigues me as to what can and what can't be done to a garden landscape.

Does lowes carry any plants that aren't treated with pesticides/herbicides? I wish I could find some for my pollinator garden
It might say if it is bee friendly or you can just go to an organic local nursery, they don't ussually use pesticides or chemicals

Add soil on top of your landscape fabric? That's not right.
Most of the weed seeds are in the existing soil. The mulch added to the topsoil will prevent seeds from getting in.

VC in the center and 4" potted flowers in the wire. My local Lowes gardeners in South Tulsa dont have a clue to show me how to build them. I need help soon, Mothers Day is almost here
We can't recall the project with PVC pipe but here's a flowering vines container project using a tomato cage: low.es/25AYuJ5.
