    I saw this this morning and I literally lost my mind. Yes they made more tight window throws. But Lamar and Josh had the exact same completion percentage when doing tight window throws. That's why they left their percentage off that chart.
    And could it be that Lamar has less tight window throws because he's making better decisions when throwing the ball? That couldn't be the reason, right?

      It’s not just better decisions. Lamar buys insane amount of time for his receivers to get open. His receivers aren’t better at getting open than Jamar Chase and Higgins, it’s that no DBs can stay plastered to a WR that long

    • @Diamondbull
      @Diamondbull 2 дня назад +3

      The biggest reason for Lamar’s receivers being so open is that Lamar can scramble at any time. So they can’t go two high safeties as often against Lamar as against other QBs.
      Also if they go man coverage the defenders still have to be AWARE after about 3-4 seconds of coverage that they have to locate where Lamar is on the football field because he COULD be scrambling… and that gives his receivers an advantage.

    Josh Allen: 3 games against the Rams, Dolphins, Jaguars where he had 3 or more passing TD's. 2 games with no touchdowns at all passing with 1 rushing TD. Faced 6 teams that should be in the playoffs. Best games totals of 10 passing TD's and 3 rushing TD'S.
    Lamar Jackson: 6 games with 3 or more passing touchdowns, has thrown at least 1 TD in every game this season, 4 games against the Giants, Buccaneers, and Bengals twice where he threw 4 or more TD's and had 0 interceptions. 4 game total of 18 TD's and no INT's. He has faced 10 teams that will be in the playoffs and 12 if Cincinnati gets in. Won the head to head matchup 31-10.
    I am a Bills fan and I know that this is not even close when you break it down. Josh Allen is a beast and the best chance we have had in 30 plus years to win a Super Bowl but he should not be the MVP unless voters are just defiant in voting for LJ. As for Burrow he has lost twice to Baltimore and Lamar has been great in both games.

      @MsDanilea 2 дня назад

      Be honest why do you think Lamar should win this year?

    • @gDiniM
      @gDiniM 2 дня назад

      @MsDanilea hes the best QB of 2024, has likely won the toughest AFC division, beat Allen head to head and beat Burrow in 2 separate shootouts this year. In games with a passer rating under 114 Lamar is 0-5 (101, 101, 90, 81, 66 are the ratings) and Allen in such games is 5-2 (104, 102, 95, 83, 73, 67, 60, 56 are his ratings). And he has the chance to break the single season passer rating record while running for 852+ yards. With an insane game he could be the first 4k/1k yard QB ever. (Thats very unlikely though, 148 yards rushing isnt probable at all)
      If you take the tush pushes out of the equation, Allen has nothing statistically, and nothing individually to justify the MVP going to him.
      These are stats broken down for the 3 QBs.
      4807 total yards, 43 total TDs 39 pass/4 rush, 8 TOs, 121 passer rating
      4818 total yards, 44 total TDs 42 pass/2 rush (1 tush push/QB sneak), 8 TOs, 109 passer rating
      4262 total yards, 40 total TDs 28 pass/12 rush (probably 7 tush pushes lmao), 7 TOs, 101 passer rating
      And they are all within 1 point of each other in QBR.
      Without names attached, I know who isnt winning 😂

    • @vforwombat9915
      @vforwombat9915 2 дня назад +1

      @@gDiniM here's another one:
      4459 total yards 37 total TDs, 10 TOs?, 116 passer rating?
      NOBODY is talking about Jared Goff.
      [or darnold, but i'm not gonna get into him]
      his numbers aren't as great as LJs but he has been balling on a 14-2 team.
      even if you wanna give the award to LJ on stats, Goff deserves at least as much consideration as Allen.
      btw, the question marks are because i don't have all the stats from the game tonight.
      and i would argue that no QB this season has been more consistent than Goff.
      LJ and Allen have had some real clunkers of games.
      and i say this as an LJ fan, but frankly, while these things are fun, there are 5 players this year that all deserve to win MVP, and i'm not gonna be upset if any of them do.

    • @gDiniM
      @gDiniM 2 дня назад +1

      @vforwombat9915 Lamars worst game was the steelers game at a 66 passer rating and it wasnt as bad as it looked. He had 3 teammates fumble the ball away, and the interception was a perfect pass that got wrestled out of Hills hands. Thats it.
      Jared Goff threw 5 INTERCEPTIONS IN ONE GAME and still won.... he has a top 2 OLine, the best RB duo (pre Montgomery injury), an AP WR and TE along with a major deep threat in Jameson Williams. Allen is over Goff easily and I think Allen is 4th at best.
      Lamar has been the most consistent QB this season easily.

    Lamar doesn't care about the media going back and forth on who should be the league MVP. Lamar has his sights set on winning a Super Bowl. That's it. That's all. Anything outside of that is just noise.
    Lamar wants to win. He doesn't care about the stats as long as they go along with a W. And that's a good mindset to have. Lamar didn't even play during the 4th quarter on Christmas because the Ravens had such a big lead. He has had several games like this in his career, missed a lot of games for 2 seasons and barely had playing time as a rookie. Yet, there are several career QB stats Lamar has already broken or tied already at just 27 years of age.
    Lamar is in MVP talks to get his 3rd when he has only played 4 full seasons in the NFL. That is incredible. But none of that matters to Lamar. He's locked in. Focused on a championship.

    • @vforwombat9915
      @vforwombat9915 2 дня назад +1

      just to quibble: LJ started 1/2 of the games his rookie season.
      so, not barely had playing time.
      and the next year, he played 15 games, iirc, but as you pointed out, he missed Q4 in enough so that he only had 14 games worth of play time.
      that was his monster 2019 MVP year, and he put all those numbers up in what amounts to not playing 2 full games.

  • @m1ke.r0ckz

    Let's see who is more valuable to their team.
    Allen has had 5 games with a passer rating under 85 and the Bills still won 3 of those games
    Lamar has had 3 games with a passer rating under 100 and the Ravens lost every one of those games
    That tells me the Bills can still win without Allen but the Ravens can't without Lamar. Then when you take in account the much easier schedule and division of the Bills and Lamar leading in every stat that matters this should not even be close. Lamar beats Allen in the eye test as well.
    This whole narrative about Lamar having Derrick is ridiculous. First off Derrick is having a career year at age 30, I wonder why that is? 🤔 Also Lamar has won 2 MVPs without Derrick and the Ravens were better last year without Derrick. ALSO.....what about all the other QBs that won the MVP award with talent around them in previous years. It's not like Josh doesn't have weapons or doesn't have a much better O-line than Lamar.
    Sounds like the babbling talking heads on tv are just making up ridiculous excuses to try to push an agenda to give the award to Allen out of pitty. I mean yeah it sucks for Josh that he's playing in the same era as Lamar and Mahomes but it is what it is. Just because Josh is having his best year ever doesn't mean you have to ignore the record setting year Lamar is having with currently having the 2nd highest quarterback rating of all time and setting a record for having over 3900 passing yards and over 850 rushing yards. Like wtf are we even doing here.

    • @MsDanilea
      @MsDanilea 2 дня назад

      The Ravens were better without Derrick because they had great defense. Better defense then the Ravens had this year. But why did they not beat the chiefs Because they had no running game. With a running game you could do alot more. Qb could do alot more and turn the ball over less. They got Derrick for a reason. Don't downplay his role for Lamar that ain't right. Josh Allen is going to win MVP for the same reason Lamar won last year. It is not for stats. He wasn't the number 1 in stat line last year. MVP is most valuable player but it also means who team can't do it without them.

    Saying the ravens have better receivers than the bengals is insane, and they’re probably comparable to the bills. They’re ignoring the reason our receivers get separation, it’s Lamar. Teams are caught in a catch 22 and have been for years against us, you want to stack the box and keep a spy against Lamar, when you do Zay and Bate WILL get open. We see more stick blitz 0 than any other team and Lamar is able to extend against it while every other qb in the league has to throw screens or quick routes

  • @abbotstonkennedy2962

    The Bills have a over all better win lose record. Understand that Josh has played great in a few games. 3 pass TDs 3 rush TDs is amazing. Understand Lamar has played great in most games. With a close to last defense and a great kicker who was going through something I don't understand. The Ravens would have the best record if it wasn't for anomalies, that are being ignored. End of the day, would you rather have a team of 22 Josh Allen's vs 22 Lamar Jackson's?

Breaking M Vick record (6000+) rushing yards in less than 40 plus games than M Vick. It's more but I digress

    The SoS is the biggest reason Lamar should get it over Allen. Allen has been great, I won't say otherwise, and I do believe his support is less than Lamar's, but I think that's been grossly overstated. The Bills have have played much weaker competition, with the exception obviously of KC and the Lions. Outside of those two games, their opponents have on average 6 wins. They've handled their business, something the Ravens didn't against Vegas and the Browns. But I just think an easier schedule makes up for a lot of the "value" people claim Allen is giving them. Even games he didn't play well in, they won by a mile. I would love someone to explain how that happens.

    • @MsDanilea
      @MsDanilea 2 дня назад

      It really isn't Allen's fault his division sucked this year. MVP isn't a numbers game because if it was he wouldn't have won it last year.

    • @DavidEhrhartKing
      @DavidEhrhartKing День назад

      @@MsDanilea It's goes directly to the point of value. People keep saying Allen is doing more with less, and that the Bills thought it would be a down year. His SoS is much weaker than anticipated, not his fault, sure, but neither is it Lamar's fault that he has Henry, lol. Last year Lamar and the Ravens beat just about every playoff team. The two years really aren't comparable.

    Burrow and Lamar have a similar story this year - very different results. Strong offense, poor defense (I know since the bye our Defense is now top 5). But Lamar and this offense overcame ALL of the games where our defense allowed 30+ pts (Lamar and Ravens were 3-0 in those games). Joe Burrow and Bengals were 0-4. That’s the difference in 11-5 and 8-8. Joe was great this year, not an MVP though, even if they get lucky, the stars align, and they make it in. I really hope voters Dive Deep and don’t just vote for “who they want” which is what Dan O is clearly doing. He’s perfectly demonstrating confirmation bias. Picking data points that confirm his beliefs and desires, not actually using data to help him make a data driven decision (which the MVP shouldn’t 100% be data based, otherwise why have voters). Just saying, Dan O is losing a lot of credibility over this, and he’s someone I used to highly respect.

    The narrative was the Ravens will not make the playoffs or win the division. Then it was Derrick Henry should be the MVP and Lamar will not win it because of him. Now I do not know what the narrative is nor do I care. All I know is that Lamar keeps proving everyone wrong who doubts him. They had Allen as the MVP when he was undefeated until his lost to the Ravens and then it was "Josh Allen needs more help". Lamar won two MVPs without Henry and less talent than Allen and Burrow has had their entire career. No Ravens WR has had a 200 yard game and there is no real number 1 WR on the Ravens, because Lamar spreads the ball so much. Also when you have a QB who can extend the play the WRs will eventually get separation.
