Reminded me of my ZX-9R unboxing when I had requested to be delivered in its box!! It is a perfect experience to see it live and be the first to press the start button.
Z1000SX: awesome bike and nice colour!
I bought a Ninja 600r back in 1985 when they first came out, and there was only around 3,500 made (a dealership was lucky to even get one, and some that had a racing team would get two, other dealerships got no Ninja 600r in 1985), so I had a dealershhip in Federal Way, Washington (I lived in Alaska at the time) find one of the last ones and had it shipped to my house. Showed up just like this, but had lots more to do to prep it for riding back in those days. But was a lot of fun unboxing it and doing the final assembly of it. :)

Was a great bike :-) Was clocked by a State Trooper at 148mph and still had 1,500rpm left to go (mega-long & straight empty highway in Alaska: no vehicles for miles in front or behind). Through a curious set of happy accidents (trooper went easy on me for actually pulling over for him, and he wrote the speed to be 97mph so I wouldn't lose my license), the judge read the ticket as 79mph. Would love to be able to unbox a nice Z1000SX/Ninja 1000 that I had been lucky enough to buy... Maybe one of these years, before I pass on to the Great Beyond... :-) But will pass on getting an uber ticket for similar speeding antics :-)
