WOW, I can't believe that Cody stepped on the ladder/stool the way he did, and it didn't fall over. The man must be lighter than air... lmao Most household accidents happen in the bathroom. Love the videos. keep them coming.
You can raise the height on your bathroom vanity. Make a frame out of a 2 x 6 and set it back about 2 inches narrower than the vanity height and width. That gives you a toe kick area in front, allows you to get closer to the sink when you wash your face.
Suggestion: you guys can build a rain water collection system then all you'll need are water filters and uv lights to clean the rain waters before consumption. Hope it helps. :)
helpful hint Put furniture sliders under washer fet so it is easier to slide out and won't damage floors. I also have them under the stove and fridge so it is easier to slide out and clean Love what you are doing
Standard bathroom countertop height is 30” to 34”. That’s a nice looking vanity. Personally, what I would do is build a kickplate out of two by fours to put it underneath and raise it up. A more economical solution than going to the store and looking for a new cabinet. Of course, if that doesn’t get you what you want I understand. Each of us has our own aesthetic wants. Everything is looking nice. Thanks for sharing your videos with this backseat driver! 😊
Hello Summer and Cody, you two kids are so courteous towards each other, nice to see. Let’s go shopping!! 🤗. Your rib dinner looks delicious, making me hungry. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Love going to Home Depot or Rural King with you!! Keep them in the video. It is interesting to see what your pricing is where you live compared to the Pacific NW where we live... Thank you for taking us along. We KNOW it takes so much more work moving the cameras and ALL THE EDITING time it takes... THANK YOU!! May God overwhelm you and your family with blessings!
Love the way bathrooms coming along. Summer I totally get that the trip to Home Depot was a bust for you! I love coming along on trips to places like this. ❤
Ah, the sounds of summer! Glad to see you working on your bathroom. I know it will turn out well, plus it’s really fun watching you getting excited. Practicality Meets creativity!!
They make beadboard wallpaper, once painted, it works well in kitchen & bathroom! I also think they make pvc beadboard, which would work in the bathroom.....
A tip I prefer using nail clippers to cut off zip ties, scissors end up leaving too much of an exposed end that gets snagged on stuff, where nail clippers seem to cut off more of the end and having it closer to the square fitting. I use zip ties to bundle my TV wiring and this helps massively to limit snagging behind the tv stand etc.
Summer I never had a issue with your sound but this was very clear. Happy to go shopping with you, personally I hate going myself 😂 It maybe too late as you may have already purchased, but consider raising your current vanity. It fits the area, it's in a colour you like and it's functional. By raising the vanity Cody could make a draw to go underneath for extra storage, or just make a kickboard to stop fur 😉. Also, while all the water lines are exposed, have you considered moving the water tank under the house, yes I realise it will need to be winter prepped but your almost finished doing that around your home anyway. Thanks for sharing guys, have a great week.
We like going to the stores with you, working on the shop container, doing your finishing of each room as you go... anything! Just keep the videos coming. : )
Hi guy's, Glad to see you are circling back to finish the bathroom. Hopefully you find what your looking for locally. Looking forward to seeing the next video.
Summer the tile look your shower walls have, you could do tile on half the wall you don't like, to match the shower walls. I forget the tile name. Also, if you like the sink cabinet, cody could just build a lift base to sit and attach the current cabinet on. Would save alot of money
I think it's really cool you guys know how to do everything yourselves. When I got my house, I was constantly looking for contractors because I have zero skills. LOL
Love going shopping with you guys. Its exciting that you're finishing the remodeling on your bathroom! always fun watching you two on your projects, you do such a great job on everything you do!
well i wish i knew you guys were in florida because i really miss the neighbors drama thats when i first started watching but i'm glad you guys are doing good
Hello my dears, I think I saw that there are 4 containers on the property, one of which I already understand will be the workshop. The other one I thought when the renovations started was to enlarge the house? Kisses and hugs from Portugal ❤❤🇵🇹🫶
The nice thing about you tube is I can skip over the parts I am not interested in. That being said, I do enjoy the Hardware runs. This content should be as much fun for you to make as it is for us to watch! Keep up the good work
Have y'all considered a tankless water heater for y'alls bathroom? Aren't they cheaper to operate as well saving gas since it's only burned when the water is running? Just wondering.
Yes we chose to not use a tankless as the electric models use crazy amounts of power to heat the water so quickly and the gas units don't have great venting options for air tight homes
@@CantContainUs I didn't know that about the air tight homes. It makes perfect sense. Thanks for explaining it to me. Y'all are doing a great job, keep it up.
Hi Summer and Cody, Tommy here, Laura’s husband. Really like what you guys did with the place and still adding on ,very innovative and creative. good videography of outside and catching the essence of where you guys live, looks really nice, you guys make a good team, love.
I just jealous that you have a Home Depot, Menards, AND a Lowe’s. I only have a Lowe’s near me, Home Depot is an hour away, and I’ve not seen a Menards in ages, we don’t have them in Middle or East TN. I just bought a 60” (34” tall) double vanity through Wayfair since neither HD, Lowe’s or any other local places had what I wanted…it gets here early August…then I’m 90% done with my remodel inside. Kitchen is gonna have to wait til winter, I’ve got tons of outside projects to get done before then.
21:43 I believe the word Cody is looking for is "hexagon". The audio sounds great and I like going with you on material runs... Keep up the great work!!!
Good evening Cody & Summer 🤗 I like going along with everything you do 😉 your mikes are working great 👍your dinner looks amazing 😋 what are you crocheting?
You could always just build a raiser platform to lift up your current bathroom counter and not have to buy a new one. Always a easy way to save money and in this economy would be what I probably would do.
3 thing's 1 Do that bathing wall in rusty tin. I think that would look cool. 2 You can take us any place you want to. Field trips are fun. 😂 3 I've been meaning to ask forever, Summer, are you still doing reality work or something else?
I'm good with going on a run to HD, Lowe's or Menards. I'm at HD or Lowe's every week. I was holding my breath when Cody stepped up on the top of the stool like that as I fully expected a bad result. I don't know how he managed that and would not recommend it. I think it's a good thing you are working on the bathroom to get a quick hit on something yo've really been wanting to get done, and also take you minds off all the negative things. Some positivity and feelings of accomplish will go a long way for you. That dinner sure looked good and made me hungry 😉. Have a blessed week and I'll see you on the next one. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
A sliding wall ( like a Recessed slider) that was drywalled on the sink side, but filled with shelves (4 in deep) would have been good in that spot but putting the outlet in the dividing wall makes that troublesome. I go to Home Depot, Northern Tool, Lowes and Harbor Freight as a window shopping tour. I may walk out empty handed but not often. I have Hexagon tile and hate it. There is no way to keep the grout clean easily. Look to see if you have a "Floor &Decor" store. They do tile and wood flooring and have a great selection.
WOW, I can't believe that Cody stepped on the ladder/stool the way he did, and it didn't fall over. The man must be lighter than air... lmao Most household accidents happen in the bathroom. Love the videos. keep them coming.
He does that all the time and it drives me insane. I always say something but he still does it🤣
You can raise the height on your bathroom vanity. Make a frame out of a 2 x 6 and set it back about 2 inches narrower than the vanity height and width. That gives you a toe kick area in front, allows you to get closer to the sink when you wash your face.
Definitely an option!
That's what I was gonna say. Lol Great minds... 😄
I thought that as well...and less expense
@@CantContainUsI like that idea as well. Save some money. Those vanities are insanely priced.
I thought that is cheaper .. And make selves on the wall over the toilet for more space .. I
Suggestion: you guys can build a rain water collection system then all you'll need are water filters and uv lights to clean the rain waters before consumption. Hope it helps. :)
I love hardware stores so my vote is “yes,” take us along!
Thank you for the feedback! ♥️
Yes take us along, y'all shop at the same stores we do. Groceries is Aldi's, home Depot and Menards. We also go to habitat resale store. My favorite.
Just keep doing what you’re doing. I love it if people go in the store pick everything out.

Like road tripping to the store with y'all. I miss Summer cooking in the videos for sure.

Happy birthday Summer 🎉 , the bathroom will be so nice all finished. Love to see you 2 still holding hands , bless you
You two are amazing! I'm hooked on your content and love how kind and loving you are to each other! 🥰🥰
I don't mind shopping with you at all. I get to see things I wouldn't otherwise look at when I go to HD. Great video!
You're coming in loud and clear. and Cody., that breakfast sandwich looks so yummy! Your friend from the Heartland, Bonnie💕
Ah, the sounds of summer! Glad to see you working on your bathroom. I know it will turn out well, plus it’s really fun watching you getting excited. Practicality Meets creativity!!
We are so excited to get this project completed!
Keep us tagging along enjoy watching you pick out essentials whether furniture tools even drywall 😅
Yes! Happy Birthday Summer!
They make beadboard wallpaper, once painted, it works well in kitchen & bathroom!

Very interesting! We will have to look into this!
Summer is my fresh air for the day. Always keeping me revitalized!

Nice to see you two back into an uplifting sweet vid. Hope your bathroom upgrade goes well. Betting Summer wins on that wall whatever it becomes.
It’s definitely been awhile… but we’re slowly getting back to the swing of things!

If the current vanity is ok, just build a 6” risers for it. Color match the paint , it will look fine.
well i wish i knew you guys were in florida because i really miss the neighbors drama thats when i first started watching but i'm glad you guys are doing good
I actually Like Going to the Store it Shows the Whole Process
actually I enjoy the road trips & home Depot ect... 😂 also the cooking snips too 💕 love watching the day to day of y'alls lives 🙂

I've go the sink higher we just made a frame with 2x4s and sat the sink on top. Perfect
I like going on field trips to the store. Please keep those clips😅😂❤
Take us along, I love going to town even if I don't get anything but a soda, lol ❤
Hope you can find a cabinet you like. Otherwise I think you both have the skills to make one you like. Your home it looking very nice!!
Love watching this container build.
I enjoy going for rides. Especially if I don’t have to drive 😊😊

I do love to see a husband and wife shop it can be funny
You make the best food with love❤
Maybe put a 6 inch riser on the cabinet bottom you already have to raise it up to the height you want :)
Good evening Cody & Summer 🤗 I like going along with everything you do 😉 your mikes are working great 👍your dinner looks amazing 😋 what are you crocheting?
Thank you Karen! Glad you are here! I’m making a blanket for a friend who’s having a baby!
@@CantContainUs how nice , will be a special gift ❤️
Have you two thought of adding a drawer under your current vanity it will add storage for hinge like toilet paper storage.
You could always just build a raiser platform to lift up your current bathroom counter and not have to buy a new one. Always a easy way to save money and in this economy would be what I probably would do.
Good idea! It’s seen better days but gets the job done!
If you’re super handy, you could build a drawer in the riser for the vanity. Extra storage is also helpful.
@@suzqu Yup that is another great idea, could build either 2 smaller drawers or just 1 larger one
Have you considered adapting your current cabinet? Lifting the height by building a box to put it on
Much better AUDIO 😃 thank yall
Suggestion, build a frame to set your current vanity. Saves money and the one you have is nice.
The audio quality is excellent and you’re making me hungry.
Audio quality is SO MUCH BETTER!!! 😉👍
Sounds great, you two are just awesome really enjoy your videos. God bless you both.
I would just put legs on the cabinet. That would look nice 👍. Summer, I love using that yarn to crochet, blanket turn out soft and warm 😊.
Yeah it's real good!!!!
Good I’m glad Ronald!
Yes take us to the store!!! Happy birthday ❤
I love watching everything you guys do, so I say yes on the depo trips!!
Happy birthday summer
Thank you Wade!
Instead of tille, do concrete flooring, you can do any design you like.
