My mother is that post woman. She leaves dog treats for all the dogs on her route and goes above and beyond in her job. People like my mother and Fred are the best people to draw inspiration from. Pay more attention to those around you.
It seems so simple, yet very few people work like Fred. I purposefully look for ways to make someone day better each day and to provide outstanding service. Because this is how I live, I am constantly searching for others who provide fabulous customer service and then I compliment them and their manager.
Mark you have a great sense of humor while clearly getting your message across. Often when I think of attending speakers like this I automatically have the mindset that it will be boring but you break that stereotype in the first minute. Thanks for a great mesage!
i read this book and it didnt change me because i was a "fred" however it re assured me that hard work pays off and that there are many people out there that care about others....great book i highly recommend
Must've been decades ago... I live in the Denver burbs and I haven't seen a personal house mailbox in years, there's a large cold metal box on the end of every block that looks like a mini PO box franchise... your box is in it along with 40 others. You don't get mail delivered to your door, you walk to the end of the block and arm wrestle for space to open your little box with 5 other people also trying to check their mail. You don't know the mail carriers name and if you approach the box while they're there with the back open stuffing mail in (usually the wrong box) you get a dirty warning glare like you're invading their personal space.
And when isn't it "This present moment"? I left Mom in the care of the ER a few hours ago. She had a near fatal heart attack around midnight & I've been thinking of all the time I could've spent being more attentive to her & appreciative for her ongoing caring & thoughtful attention, instead of so caught up in my own pursuits. You can never get the time back I'm now setting out to foster a new attitude of realizing maximum meaning from every minute I am given by the Creator, by maximum loving
I am semi bilingual in a few languages like Spanish Portuguese french and Italian by no means am I completely fluent in these languages but I took several classes in college for conversational advancement and business not only am I a national entrepreneur but also globally I want to study abroad I want to finish my college studies in the states my native tongue is very advanced I also want to expand my knowledge in many languages for the ultimate customer service experience
