Humility the trade mark of class and a master of his trade.
Top bloke and team.
Modern games he travels for fun
Appleby is a great trainer and a nice guy hope he's right about space blues
lovely chap
Appleby has admittedly had a tremendous year and more power to him and all his staff/stable but one swallow doesn’t make a summer , Aidan O’Brien is still the top trainer with some of the best breeding stock in the world , he’s going to be hard to knock off the throne but the competition is great for race fans especially when it comes from the smaller yards .
O'Brian has had the worst season of recent years... Joseph O'Brian has had a good yr thou...I'll be paying attention too anything he runs at del mar
@@tomleach1428 shows how high people expect him to train winner's he's still won 7 classics with 5 different horses and people still think he's had a bad season
@@rodneymckee8431 yh but there the only races he has won... wouldn't surprise me if love ran well thou
@@tomleach1428 he still won more g1s than Appleby if anything this Yr with the amount of top horses Appleby has had this Yr he has under achieved
@@rodneymckee8431 I think it helps quite a lot when he's had the monopoly on Galileo stock and has been training far longer than Appleby, the next few years will be the level playing fields for many trainers.
Yibir at 12-1 is ridiculous. He has the best chance of beating Tarnawa.
Yeah if the wide draw and firm ground are negatives ( shouldn’t really be ) but defo worth a nibble ew
@Bestgambler Inthegamefact why are you bringing up Cheltenham Waynebo ?? Patience son. A virtue
Frosted Ice Pharoah: I wonder what the Arc took out of Tarnawa? She had a hard race on very soft ground after previously having a hard race in Ireland.
And then he went and won every race he entered a horse in
They may not all win or even hit the board, but to make the mistake of thinking all six of Charlie's horses at Del Mar aren't live is a mistake. Godolphin horses have been kicking ass all over Europe and beyond this season. To date he's proven to be more a 7F specialist, but if a mile around tight turns with a short straight proves to be within his wheelhouse I very much like Space Blues chances of winning the Breeders Cup Mile.
Buick is on Space Blues for a reason but I'm not going to let Master of the Seas beat me. He seemed to tip his cap a little bit about that horse potentially showing up on Saturday
A friend of mine who's sister is close to the yard says they are quite confident of master of the seas running a big race...
Been the plan all year for master after his Guineas effort. So wtf is space blues doing turning up. I love space blues probably my fav horse in training but Can’t not back master of seas. I’ll do a Wayne and back both…. I mean back every single runner in the mile.
@@JonJonJonJonJonJonJonJon haha good old no brains wayne
Charlie is great but he gets some of the best stock on the planet. Anyway, anyone but Baffert.
Who will be the next Goldikova in the BC mile. Let's see
Won’t be another Goldi. She would carry this lot
@@JonJonJonJonJonJonJonJon I agree . Mother Earth has a chance , but my money is on Mo Forza
@@44sledge Mother Earth not a chance in hell
Deffo no goldikova coming out of this race
@@JPwhoknows Aidan does not agree with you , he said she is absolutley spot on for the race and reckons she will do better than last time at Ascot , she has her favoured good ground
is matt chapman even 5 feet tall?
I don't know if he's as good a trainer as O'Brien, Gosden or Fabre, but he's had a great year and he's so down-to-Earth and completely likeable. He didn't exactly brag, but there was no false modesty about the year he had. He did win both the English and Irish Derby's. He won the KG. He won the Leger. He won the Foret and other sprints. His 2yos looked amazing. He shipped four horses to NA for one weekend and they all won for fun. Had he sent Native trail, Coreobus and Hurricane Lane, he'd have better chances this weekend, but I think Modern Games might be the one to beat, gvien the better draw than Dubawi Legend. Space Blues is three lengths better than the modest Mile field provided he gets the distance and doesn't get blocked.
Also nose second in the 2000 Guineas.
Sensational year and every interview this man gives is completely honest and insightful. Top top bloke and now top trainer. Used to struggle to keep the horses cooking all year but he’s learned. He’s actually the best ‘target’ trainer in the game now. They usually don’t turn up unless they have a serious chance
@@JonJonJonJonJonJonJonJon What's not to like about a guy who says, in all sincerity and without a hint of combativeness, "I don't argue, we just discuss"? It was as though the interviewer wanted to ruffle his feathers and couldn't.
The comparisons with Aiden O'Brien are inevitable, but they are in slightly different situations. O'Brien has put up numbers that no one can match, but he's THE trainer for Coolmore. Appleby is just one of several trainers for Godolphin, and if things don't go well, he can be demoted or replaced. They can send their best horses to Fabre, Cox or bin Suroor. He's been under a bit more pressure in that sense, but he's come through it well.
@@controlleddemolition9112 he’s turned into my fav trainer over the last couple of seasons. Purely cos of the way he communicates with the press. Gentlemen. Straight shooter and tenacious. Glad to see the results are going his way. 2 Derby’s in 3 years like. And a right hand next year with correbeus
@@JonJonJonJonJonJonJonJon A lot fans seem to think that Correobus is strictly a miler and, thus, a Guineas horse. I don't "do antepost". I'd rather just handicap after the field is drawn. However, I think Correobus might be a Derby horse. He has shown a tendency to "sizzle and burn" when shown daylight and let loose. That makes it appear that he can't stay, but you can harness that turn of foot. He's bred to get at least 10F and possibly more. Moreover, if Native Trail can get a mile, Godolphin is likely to try to keep the two apart, pointing Correobus for longer races.
@@controlleddemolition9112 yeah I’d be aiming Correobus at the dante.
One thing is clear the number one yahoo is Chapman.
Space Blues is definitely the best horse in the BC Mile, but the ground is a worry. Wouldn't back Modern Games at any price
Modern games absolute first night banker.

Its ridiculous that Bob baffart is allowed to have runners at this meeting...the biggest cheat in American racing (and that's saying something!!)
What horses does he have running ?
Charlie Appleseed ain’t winning one race this week at the BC.
HA!
