i never attended any music school and got interested in music production to start from scratch. the first time I watched his tuitorial in youtube was the time I sounded like I been here for centuries though am only two years old in these. keep it up man
Honestly, I have been a Riddim dubstep producer for over a year now, and people haven't told me about music theory until now. Thanks for being the best to learn from. I tried watching deadmau5 and Armin van Buuren Masterclass to learn music theory, and I just didn't get it. Thanks for being my inspiration and motivation. WHO ELSE FEELS ME?? LMAO
i mean you have to actually pay attention other wise the masterclasses are just a waste of money. thats why you should preview the courses before you decide to order it to see if it'll help you.
Man every type of video i see , i never trust all my faith on it , because we have a lot types of content that we can learn, but DAMM u make everything so easy and so realiable that i will see every single video about music theory, thank you so much, Cheers from Rio de Janeiro , Brazil
Thank u so much...I love you....av been playing as a church keyboardist for 4years yet I don't know this thing....this thing got taught me how to play on all keys in just a day..... something av been struggling with for years..thank you Jesus bless you
Most videos just throw these terms out there and expect you to know. You actually explain what the terminology is and how its applied. Im definitely going to watch as much of your stuff as I can before making my own music.
I can't even describe how thankful I'm for this, I've been looking forever for this forever and couldn't find anything that really talks about the basic stuff! Thank you so much for making this!
Hey man, just wanted to let you know that your videos are amazing. You're an insanely good teacher and I've been learning so much about FL from you. I wish I could afford your courses because you absolutely deserve the money. Keep doing what you're doing, thank you
I've been putting all of this stuff together in my head just based on playing with patterns on piano over the years, but I could never explain it to share. These videos are the truth
I love this number theory applied to the piano. I play the piano intermediate level but even I get confused learning the tradition way for some reason I can't explain but this just makes so much sense to me. its like a breathe of fresh air. everyone has different ways of understanding things.
I was in band too. I don't know about high school as I quit band before then but in middle school I did not learn anything about making music or music theory. We just learned songs by other people and played them. That's why I quit, I use music to express myself but I can't express anything using other people's music.
its really cool how i wanted to learn how chords n stuff work but he gave some metaphysical commentary on our superficial beliefs in names that we humans need to make sense of the world
Dude I've seen quite a few of your videos and I just want to thank you. You have helped me understand the things I was doing and not knowing why and the things I didn't know. You are one of the most helpful music production youtubers. You've helped me out so much in learning how to use FL and make my music sound better when I move it from my head to the computer
I think it should be mentioned that the Chromatic scale was not arrived at simply at the whim of someones preferences, it is a standard that was evolved over many centuries that allows a collection of instruments to play together in a largely harmonious way. It's where physics meets music in a practical way. Music is like a physics and maths experiment all wrapped up into one beautiful thing! Kind of awesome :)
Just learn your scales people it’s not that hard. Don’t be afraid to grind for it. Then just extend basic cords into the scale and make them sound good and different every time
In music theory, a scale is any set of musical notes ordered by fundamental frequency or pitch. A scale ordered by increasing pitch is an ascending scale, and a scale ordered by decreasing pitch is a descending scale. A scale is a pitch collection. middle c has a precise frequency that is it! call it what you want.
I learned this the hard way, just by making beats and memorizing chords, this is really helpful and it saves a lot of time, good theory.
