Wow! Fascinating to see a different worflow from an expert like you! Dorico is so wonderful and powerful and elegant!!! Thank you for the tutorial!
Dorico is truly powerful and as I am making these videos and with all the new users I am still learning just like you! I appreciate your support and thank you for watching!
Please zoom in more.
This is a great video, but very difficult to “see” what you are doing, even at full screen.
Thank you.
Hey I need to start doing a little extra video editing to zoom into specific parts but I'm new to this and need to learn some video editing. Also I am upgrading my storage so I can record a higher quality video that isn't slightly blurry. Now that I have reached my first 500 subscribers I am going to try to increase my production value! Thank you for the feedback and for watching!
Hi CJ, so about 14 min into the video following along everything was perfect until this rhythm hits section, I'm getting nothing ... after selection of notes, Shift U type Piano, and selected Piano a i get no Rhythm hits anywhere, do i have something turned off ?
You may have to show cues in your score. Go to the layout option with command+shift+L and search for cues. Check the box that says show cues and make sure you do that for all the parts as well. My template In the description should have them shown as well. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
Great work, thanks a lot for this great tutorial! Suppose I don’t want to force the stems down in the first 8 bars - is there any way to resolve the collisions with the rhythm cues while keeping normal stem direction?
I some reason had an issue with that and am going to consult the Facebook forums haha. Make sure you are subscribed so you see my community post of I find an answer. Hopefully will have one in a few days since I have gigs all weekend!
Hey found a temporary not ideal solution. With your note stem direction up, go to engrave and select all the beams you want to lower and then drag them down. I will bring this up to Steinberg as a bug if I do not find an automatic solution.
Is it possible to have kept the note stems up for the melody and have the rhythmic cues above the staff like the original Real Book lead sheet?
Some reason I had a issue with that, I will look for a solution, it's possible I just need to update Dorico or change a setting.
Good general info regardless of style. Will have to play this a few tomes and take notes.
Glad I am giving you some good info! I tried to keep everything pretty general for that reason. Thanks for watching!
In a future video could you show us how to add the rehearsal letters?
Definitely! Also try pressing Shift+A with a bar line selected. That should do the trick as well!
Great work!
Thank you!
