I simply could not imagine my life without Brian Wilson and his music. One of the highpoints in my life was the day I actually met him and he asked me what I thought of 'Smile'. I was speechless.

I was there (balcony, stage left) and it was nothing short of perfect. It reminded me of the first time I saw the Beach Boys, during the tour in which the In Concert album was recorded. Brian is ever evolving, not content to become a relic.The show is a fine blend of the past and the present. Rock on Brian! Surf's Up!

Wolfsky9 I am at a complete loss as to who this might be. Some of the members rotate on and off, even when on the same tour. +John Coursey, Brian keeps coming up with new fresh music and sounds, and he mines the talent so well. Our first love, The Beach Boys under Love, are singing virtually only 50-year-old music with the cloud of bad PR hanging over Love and his lawsuits against Brian, and they're calling that a career. Bruce Johnston should have known better than to put his lot in with Love.
This is the trailer for the Brian Wilson/Beach Boys Special that was on PBS last night. There is a new DVD, Blue Ray and CD of it. Sorry folks I did not listen to this trailer till today and it is not nearly as good as the show was last night. It really was good.
Wow. Brian has assembled a great supporting cast and has his Mojo back. Can't wait to purchase this Album/CD or whatever we call music these days ! 😀

***** Ok, so four months down the road, that link takes yo to a page that say "Coming Soon..." At least a few people might want to know when "soon" might be? Some of us ain't getting any younger, ya know...
PBS made a literal last minute call to pull the program. My guess is that with the release of Love & Mercy and the onset of Brian's 2015 tour, the producers opted to use the show for an additional revenue stream.
Both a CD and a DVD have been released, you can get them online.
