One year my Mom transferred to UW in Eau Claire to teach English. Growing up in Florida I never imagined being in Packerland. I attended Memorial High School. As the only kid of color at the school I was more than nervous my first few days there. But while there I experience true kindness. On my last day of classes friends presented with a Year book with their names already signed in. Go Wisconsin.
Seeing the Moms slip brandy into their coffee at the kids game ... yeah, accurate. Fun fact, Wisconsin drinks more brandy than all the other states combined. Okay, maybe not, but they drink a lot of brandy.
Pronounce “Stoughton” the town. My daughter went to UW & I was driving up there to pick her up & she called & asked if we were past STOOOOOton yet. That’s when I realized we had lost her to the cheese people. She was in a bar in Nashville & Vandy was hosting Georgia that weekend. She saw a guy with a “G” on his jersey & said to him, “Packers fan, alright” We had her deprogrammed.
If you go to a grocery store in Wisconsin or Minnesota and you buy milk, always asked the clerk for an extra "beg". If you say "bag" they wont know what you are talking about
