This is such an underrated classic. This is one of their best songs imo, and they have a lot of bangers. It cruises and the tones and back beat are lush. Urgh. Love it.
Fantastic lesson. Makes total sense. It’s such a satisfying riff...probably driven my neighbours mad playing it over and over for the last 30 mins! Cheers man.
Very well explained! I really like how you demonstrated and explained how to play that, unlike others who keep talking about this chord structure or whatever that makes my eyes roll back in my head!!
The solo has a good nod of the cap to their friends in Lynyrd Skynyrd. They met the summer before the crash and LS really took to Acca Dacca. Angus and crew snuck Leon out for a beer while he was still laid up from the crash. RIP Mad Hatter!!
Thank you so much for your lessons bro. This song was always tricky for me yet it is so simple. I just want to point out one thing in this that I was guilty of which we all seem to get mixed up with. After Angus plays the 22 on the b and e, only do one of those and the second one is up the neck on the g and b strings. You want to hit the g on the 6ith fret with your middle finger and the ring on the b on the 7th fret. Then you're ready to go down the neck to do the others. He did this song on the ballbreaker tour and VH1 recorded the jam session. He even thumb and finger picks it. Not sure he did it that way on the recording (I can't really hear it) but he seems to do it live so maybe it's just real subtle. You can check it out if you want. I can hear it some on the actual record which is what threw me off and just the over all grove and timing. I hope you don't take this the wrong way like I'm trying to correct you for ego reasons. You're probably a better player than me. Take care man. Once you do it this way and listen to the record you'll know what I mean.
Great job. Never could quite figure it out due to the two distinct parts. I would hear the descending riff of the lead part but also could hear the rythym staying on the same chord on the second and third beats. Couldn't figure out what I was hearing. Thank you!
Absolute awesome licks from Mal. and Angus. Nice explained thx. 🎸 solo? next lesson. the end awesome playing from angus. You done it already thx. Awesome.
Hey Sasha, I know I am late to this video post by you, but mate!, I just have to say that your teaching technique coupled with your awesome tone (and guitar choice) is amazing. I have subscribed and please keep up the great work.
I've gotta try to get another sg some day, I had an 86 years ago, I had no amp and no money,so I sold it to buy a Marshall and a cheaper guitar, it was nice to have a good amp,but instant regret on losing my sg.
Awesome tone !!! The Powerage album is still my favorite after all these years… are you using that nux plexi pedal on this ? That tone is just buttery and mean !!! 😎🤓
@@SRguitar Ohh, okay. Wirklich?

I've always loved Malcolm's side of this song. He makes these subtle changes in tone that totally drives the song

Great lesson, But if you watch Angus he doesn't start the riff on the 2nd fret.. But it sounds go so.... Everything else is spot on !
Thanks! Yeah I saw that too, after I made the video😁
But both ways are the same notes, just played on other strings :)
A couple parts to the song seem as if they were later carried into the song Rock N Roll Ain't Noise Pollution.
