- Hi everyone,
This is my 1:3 scale pacman cocktail cab. It is sporting a 15"lcd and a p4 2ghz pc running mame and mala fe. It is 100% scratch built be me using 12mm mdf and Perspex for the top bezel. I am a keen arcade nut and love building and fixing anything arcade related. Check out my youtube channel where some of my inventions can be viewed. Watch this space for my next project, GALAGA ARCADE CAB! Cheers, Dave, aka bluemini17@hotmail.com

every version of mame 32 ever invented ( I use 0.107 due to hardware limitations)
Wow, really amazing. I've always wanted to build something just like it. I didn't know MAME could do the flipped 2 player screen, which I considered a major limiting factor.
Very inspiring video...
Hey Matt,
mame is the coolest thing around! the older versions of mame did not support screen flipping but the newer versions do.
I would love to hear how you got the fire buttons to control the volume, and the credit button to power off. It's so nice that there's no signs of a computer interface.
Add inside an SLG-3000 scanlines generator and it's cooler. Nice job, by the way, perfect in all the little tiny details. It rocks.
Very Nice Cab mate
Dude, love it. Great job and fine craftsmanship!
Keep up the good work!
I love it im going build a cocktail ms pac man, I like your video a lot I could use some tip pointers from you
Great machine! Fantastic work mate

the layout was designed by a fine gent that goes by the call sign 'mike boss' you can find his work on the mala website in the 'layout' section
how/what did you use to print the bezel? Just a laser jet printer or you get it done somewhere?
I like your Mala theme. Is that available somewhere? Or did you create it yourself?
@Chaoticnoodle yes, she got sold to a very nice chap who loves it ! i miss it but am working on something mega cool at the min, so stayed tuned :)
Hey PKcMagic. the pc is running mame and the look as you so put it is known as a 'front end'. the front end that i am using is called Mala. Mala allows you to create 'skins'. for example the skin i am using is the pacman skin. check out the mala website or the byoac forum for more info. the skin basicly hides all the ugly stuff such as mame and windows. hope this helps
i used a printing company to print the bezel on A3 matt paper. i then placed it under clear perspex
awesome job! have u auctioned it off already?
Why does no one post their plans/ templates? I would love to build one to play with friends.
Are you willing to share the plans for this cabinet. I am disabled and this would give me something to do with my free time
Very nice.
it is a standard 15inch pc monitor - tft i believe
how the split screen is achieved ? is that two separate monitors and vga signal split ?
I have one of these but i cant figure out what you press to get out of game to go to main menu any ideas?
Fucking amazing.
where would you get the monitor from?
how do you get the games on it and what do you use to put the games on like do you use a usb on a monitor or a computer .... ??????? and what do u use in it like a list of what you need to get like buttons, monitor, usb like the guts of it almost a how to on it
ps. #7
hi dear, are you well? please help me, i´m building a on game replica machine (full cabinet graphics and one game only, more near as possible to the original, so i would like that the machine turn on directly to the game, is there a way using some front end to mame, or linux, raspberrypi, somethink like that?
Yes. If you access the dos settings on your pc, normally f11 when the machine first boots. You can set the computer to turn on when it receives power. No need to press the on button
please tell me where can i buy this ???
are you welling to sell this?
dude, you are a fucking genius!
no shout out to me? jk. Great build!
What about the pac-man and the donkey kong one like the one with every thing on it I can't find out how to press start
for those who would like plans>>>> please visit jakobud dot com and then scale the dimensions to suit your build>>> i did a 1:3 scale build (divide every measurement by three)
Can you make me one of 1978 asteroids and how much ?
visit the byoac forum for more information and helpful advice
well done on being a somewhat arrogant individual, post a video of your arcade with commentary and we will soon see who is monotonous
