I would run Kaiser vorce raider over the quantal card. It also is a free level 5 summon however it is a dark which gives you more options for the fusion monsters you want to go into.
Something you might consider instead of Red Layer is Trickstar Corobane. Lvl 5 with a similar summon effect and it allows you to run Light Stage to search it, give you a field spell, AND some soft backrow hate.
@darkforce914 the befomet does, so the version that have been circled dosent play him, you would just be using gazelle as a searcher for stonesweeper, it's fun as you can use the new earthbound fusion to get into other extra deck monsters and use the GY effect to access your earthbounds
Didn't know that, do you have a link to an offical ruling so I can reference it for future instances where this pops up, I just assumed it can be substituted as harmonic says a monster that can be summoned using those cards believing that mud could be substituted. It's a shame if so but then there are other options you can make instead of grepha
Can you use muddy mudragon to make the grapha fusion off of harmonic synchro fusion? Cause it special summons them it doesn't actually perform the summons properly, so muddy mud dragon can not be used as a fusion substitute if I remember correctly?
Not sure I follow. Mud can be used as a substitute for a named material, so as long as your summoning a monster that can be summoned with those monsters which grepha can, it will be fine. Mud isn't an activated effect to be a substitute same would apply if you hand king of the swamp on board etc.
Finally a no runick build
I would have preferred a Runick build, because this is way more competitive... And I'd really like to play it at locals in a playable way.

With the new earthbound fusion if you use one for kraken play the searched field you can banish the fusion spell to res the immortal

I play that and garbage lord. Use psychic end so garbage helps for that too
I think you should go with Garbage Lord instead of the Super Quantum Red Layer
