As a semi pro Muay Thai fighter, the default stance most Muay Thai guys take is verryyy susceptible to takedowns. Just look at the difference in the way Rodtang stood in round 1 and round 2, from classic front facing Muay Thai stance to a bladed stance.
And props to both fighters for taking the fight, not many would go out of their comfort zone and challenge a champion at their own game.

it was a special rules match so the first round was mauy Thai rules only so rodtang really didn't have worry about any submissions during that round.
One has Muay Thai, Kickboxing and MMA.UFC is only MMA. you have to give credit to Rodtang for even agreeing to this fight this would be his first time fight MMA rules,and against A Legend.DJ is good as they get.
