Completely agree, it’s so upsetting seeing so many fls take a ml like that back, especially such a strong fl. It’s like they just lose their self worth. the “ml” also doesn’t hesitate to beat/hurt her.
Remember, the audience sees all the shenanigans that the evil people get up to, but the other characters don't see anything other than their fake gentleness so, it's easy to fool them.
This prince Chu is the greatest fool of all, at least the other prince knows Lin Yunxi's true character but is a fool for love thinking she's an Angel... Even going as far as to divorce his Wife, his helper. I've been angry since episode 1 but I've been watching this to see him suffer
Why female lead must be always less cultured, more pushy, less sensitive than male lead? Can you explain? This is how gender equality is understood in Chinese film industry? If she acts as a man she can claim same rights?

If she’s not in his mansion, then he has the worst security ever since his concubine can come and go from the mansion late at night, multiple times!!

The only reason I continued watching this, was because the female lead is very clever and full of spunk. The prince is one of the biggest idiots I have ever not have the pleasure to watch.
