I'm from Texas and I was a huge fan of Rob's from his debut solo effort. Had to do a lot of travel to catch him in concert. Wore "Sing When You're Winning" out. Has such an affable personality, too.
@ Tootsla he has a Las Vegas residency since 2019 so we have people who know him here.70% of the people at the residency shows were Americans. The newer generation here is not familiar with him cause he stopped promoting here in early 00s due to his mental health issues. He even rejected being a judge on American idol and a huge gig offer here in 2006. Sad.
He should so go on X Factor, the Voice, something to get folk in the states to know him. It's true. They don't know him here in the states except one of my older gay friends. The only small thing that clicks is Take That's song I Want You Back For Good, but they don't know anything about the band.

Thats right, no clue who he is except for on Graham Norton... Dont think most of us even care, to.be honest - were not crazed fans over anybody really (w/ the exception of an occasional nutjob). I've known many 'well known' people over the years, & quite honestly never gave it much thought other than relating to them as people/ just as everyone else. Though I will admit only 1 exception of Tom C. who was a total & complete jackass who treated his 1st wife like crap (at least in our presence) He was at the race track w/ another well known person who hung out in our RV bc 1 of our team's crew (who was also a roadie) was in a totally different universe & always a show within himself.... Many less absorbed ppl like the fact that they can walk down the street in peace w/out being bombarded by tabloids & crazed fans....
