For a shower wall travertine repair, what do you use to seal the repaired area?

This is not for repairing a shower as it is a polyester resin. For shower repairs it depends on the style of travertine for repairs and use impregnating sealer to seal.

What do you use when wanting to colour match the different shade of browns on trevertine tile.

Search for Tenax universal coloring tint. You can find individual colors or buy the kit. Use very small amount to mix your desired color before adding the hardener.

We use the Tenax universal coloring tint like Jim stated. We use a mixture of the buff, brown, yellow and sometimes a touch of gray depending on the tile. Mixing in a bit of the buff color before adding the other colors will help make them not as potent. This will help save you from your brown or yellow color dominating your mixture.

@@beyondcleantile6595 Thank you for reply.I have brought the buff or straw shade of Tenax and have shades from near light straw to darkish brown in the tiles that require cracks filling in so hope that ordering the brown tint will help.

Did you try it John?? Did it work for you?

@@chloe5susan We use this method to fill holes almost daily for our customers. The hardest part for people who learn from watching the video is judging when is the best time to slice off the excess filler. If the filler gums up on your blade when you try to slice it, then you either didn't wait long enough for filler to harden or you didn't put enough hardener in. You want about 3 parts hardener to 100 parts filler. If you try to slice off the excess and it chips or is hard to remove you either waited to long or put to much hardener.

@@beyondcleantile6595 was the movie in real-time? In other words, did it harden enough to scrape away after only a few seconds? Thanks for the video...I want to fill my travertine holes.

@@windycitykitty no it takes a few minutes to harden. We typically fill about 20 holes at a time, let it get slightly tacky then scrape and clean. You don't want to fill too many at a time because if the filler gets too hard it becomes difficult to scrape flush.

Large holes may need to be filled multiple times. When the filler cures it will shrink leaving the larger holes recessed.
