Watched this video and for me a done deal about 60 minutes to repair including the trip to the auto parts store. Code is clear and hose had a dry crack from age. Thank you Harbor freight, Google, You tube, The Mech a nic for the video.
The audio is very low and I'm sorry for that , but the video is very helpful for some people. please use headphones. hope this video was able to help you. Thanks for watching.
All the broken plastic hose clamps are an extremely common problem. I recommend replacing them with real stainless steel hose clamps. You can buy a bunch of the right size for just a couple bucks.
+onehit pick the customer had this can for about another year before the trans went out. He sold it to someone to had the trans fixed from what I hear.thanks for watching and commenting.
Today I changed the downstream O2 sensor and discovered the same broken clamps Im having pro lems with my grand caravan 04 the scanner shows EV, C,O, OH icons and a code from 4th piston misfiring I'll replace this clamps tomorrow and see if the EV icon disappears
My car is the 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5 s. I got the code (P0456) and I sealed my gas cap again. Also, my Evap system vapor pressure is normal (around 0 Pa) when I was driving. But I can still detect the P0456 via my OBD2. Could you give me some hint ??@@
I have a 2002 dodge caravan sport. was told 2 leaks in vacuum hose, 1 major leak and one minor leak. Will having leaks in the hoses cause the van to run for 15min and stop? how else can you check for a leak without a smoke machine? what about a new fuel cap that has a lock on it?
+Clara'Athiya Yasharal yes vacuum leaks can cause the car to act weird ,and even shut off.you can grab a spray bottle with water in it and spray the suspected areas of where the vacuum leak is. Listen to the idol of the car change or if the engine tries to turn off once you spray the vacuum leak with water . Try to find the vacuum leak before buying a fuel cap. Your fuel cap is part of the Evap System it shouldn't cause your car to turn off.
Hi, I have code P0456 on a 2003 Chrysler Concorde. I've replaced the gas cap twice, Replaced the purge valve (I believe that's the name) that's located on the firewall, I've replaced the charcoal canister, and even did a smoke test with a professional smoke machine. The only place any smoke came out was from the vent itself located by the gas tank. When we blocked that, no smoke was seen anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestion on what could be the cause of that code? Again, new gas cap (twice), new charcoal canister with vent valve, new purge valve. Smoke machine showed no smoke (except from the vent valve vent) but even that had no smoke once it was closed off.
It was me, and my brother who is a mechanic. He brought a smoke machine from his shop, but we could not find any smoke from any lines.I changed the parts with the help of a friend of mine.
F4u-SuperCorsair well I'm the first to admit that this is one of my first repair videos and I know the quality isn't there. my videos have improved drastically but I'm assuming the thumbs down it do to poor quality of the video. I left the video on RUclips because it can still help some people and that's more important. Thanks for watching.

next time put the year of the vehicle in the title if you want it to be useful to anyone
Earl Grey Hot thanks for the input, title has been changed. I also mention the year of the van in the first 3 seconds of the video.
