      I recommend Pollini.. he also does an excellent job by staying true to the score

    Sokolov seems to bring out aspects of and details in the piano score that many other pianists either overlook or just don't see. His technique is stunning and musicianship is at the highest level.

      Make sure you play those LH chords as individual chords and NOT as a glissando or you might break a finger or two. I'm not joking!

    Extraordinary pianist, wonderful.
    His version of Petrushka is very good, but I place it after Pollini's interpretation, which for me is, for the moment, unsurpassed.

    I’m personally not a huge fan of Petrushka because it often becomes too heavy handed to be orchestral. This is just gorgeous though!
