Also to expand on the JoJo: Each season is actually called parts. All of the protagonists (as far as I'm aware) are from the same bloodline, hence the tone change between parts/seasons. Also the JoJo comes from this very fact, from first JoJo, Jonathan Joestar, this nickname has been inherited to the every protagonist and almost always have Jo pairs in their names. (Joseph Joestar is the 2nd, Jotaro KuJo is the third and so on) And lastly, time is a big theme in the show so yeah time manipulating type abilities are in fact main villain abilities, hence some openings have 2nd or 3rd versions. Lastly I do agree the original commentor's recommendation of Full Metal Alchemist. Iirc they tend to have translations as well and one of the best anime ever made and finished.

jojo's is really one unique manga. in my hischool years I was obsessed with this manga. I love how science work in each ability of character. very fun read.
The final endings for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders (the one with the pendulum) is my favourite. There is a lot of detail in that opening that you don't fully understand until certain episodes - and then the change up with ZA WORLDO. Top notch layering the music, visuals, with the storyline and events of the story.
Man the freeze frames with the most crucial moments of each character, that was amazing. I bet manga readers caught that instantly if it was exactly how it was drawn.
I am really happy to see that you did the OPs for Jojo as well! Each opening(s) is individual to the season so it gives you an idea of how different they are, for example S3 Stardust Crusaders is completely different from S4 Diamond is Unbreakable. The OPs will tell you a lot about each season! Also on your own check out the live versions of each one, especially S4 are amazing with the singers emoting on stage! 😉
Jojo opening's are possibly the best I've seen, even more how they explore the time that's a recurring theme in the series. edit: It's also a pity you didn't get a version with CC, because the lyrics are so good too.
Jojo is across various generations of the Joestar family, the first name of the next season's protag always starts with Jo, hence the name JoJo in the anime title. For example, season 1 has Jonathan Joestar. (I'm simplifying stuff here btw) He's the old man in season 3 with the hat. So stuff carries on through seasons. The villain (the blonde one) is immortal, that's why he looks young each time he comes up. Hope I didn't explain it wrong, I'm just a casual JoJo fan.
I guess this show could be interesting to you in a way, because many of the characters and especially their abilities are named after songs or bands. For example the plane in the fighting gold opening is called Aerosmith. There are tons of musical references in this show.
In case you did not know, since the 3rd part of the show the villan of the part has used his power to change the opening. I have always though that was low key one of the coolest things any show has done.
I binged JoJo since it arrived in Netflix and boy when Stardust Crusaders kept on slapping in every episode and it suddemly opens up with an opening variant I had no words. It was really a hype of a lifetime. Good thing I do not skip OPs even if Netflix suggests it.
Would love to see you react to this series on your channel and talk about how the music impacts the story. I think JoJo uses music really well along with most of the scenes it has and I think it would be nice to get a music buffs perspective on things :D
This video really made my day today. I just find it so entertaining and satisfying seeing someone react to jjba openings blinded for the first time. This is exactly wat I needed after that bad stone ocean event today.😂
I know someone who hadn't seen the show would not know but these openings are not only beautifully musically composed but amazingly visually crafted so many hidden layers of meaning & narrative behind every single frame.
Honestly, I love every part of JOJO's and to say honestly again, Honestly I don't think any part is anywhere close to bad. And I have an unpopular opinion, one that I've been reminded of frequently by my friends, that part 4 is my least favourite. JOJO's is absolutely a masterpiece and not many people dislike it after watching it. well.... Not many people who disliked it after trying to watch it have lived to tell the tale. so that statistic might be a bit off. but seriously though, if you watch it, i hope you can truly enjoy it!
Love your reactions with everything man, your personality, whole vibe, break downs, your deep insight to the lyrics. You’re a deep guy man seem very self reflective. Honestly you might be the first RUclipsr, idk if you categorize yourself like that but first RUclipsr I actually follow and properly watch/binge your videos. You’re casually always in the background for me :)
Wow, highest of compliments right there. Means a lot man thank you. And if you like this anime reaction I’ve got a One Piece openings coming next week 🤘
Here's a little synopsis of JoJo: The series follows various descendants of the Joestar family and their action filled lives. In parts 1 and 2, the main focus is Vampires vs Hamon, a martial art that involves breathing techniques to use life energy for attacking as an opposite to the Vampires dead energies. From part 3 onwards, you see Stands, a manifestation of your fighting spirit that can be hereditary, or by getting hit with a Stand Arrow (and surviving). Stands have all kinds of forms and strange effects, and they are named after Tarot Cards first (Like Star Platinum or The World), then Egyptian gods (Like Anubis), then band references (Crazy Diamond, Gold Experience, Stone Free). The anime has covered up to part 5 completely, and Netflix is currently dealing (poorly) with the release of part 6, having released a batch of 12 episodes in December and recently confirming the next batch of 12 for Fall season. The manga however just finished part 8 last year and is confirmed to have part 9 starting sometime this year.
Hey Knox!!! I love your reaction videos, and I'm hyped that you're looking at JJBA! If you're taking suggestions, stick with the JoJo's theme and listen to the individual JoJos' theme songs!
"It's like Pokemon, but traped inside of you and you unleash them yourself". That's the best interpretation of someone who hasn't seen Jojo that I've ever heard.
Knox absolutely hit the bullseye with his interpretation of 'Sono chi no Kioku', without subs or captions, he pulled that one out of thin air. Way to go!
If you're interested in the lyrics, you should check out the channel "jojo's music" it has the full version of all the openings with Japanese and English subtitles.
when the openings are repeated but have a slight difference in them, the anime actually makes it so that the second time it's the main antagonist messing with the opening, which i find pretty cool
So no chi no sadame (the 1st one) is so iconic, it's the only one that came to mind immediately even tho I've listened to stuff like bloody stream and crazy noisy bizarre town and great days (which is my absolute favourite, as is jojos part 4 in general) so many more times!
Those "ghosts" are called stands. They are your fighting spirit and all have different abilities. Only those with stands can see stands. Also most characters and stands are music references, and due to copyright and stuff the translation of names become silly. Like limp biscuit stand name becoming flaccid pancake.
that elevator moment in part 5 still gives me chills. I wasn't as much of a fan of part 5 as I thought I'd be but MAN did that part have some incredible moments!
JoJo is centered around the Joestar lineage and their, well bizzare adventures. The first 2 seasons(parts as referred by the author) are about vampires and those who sacrifice their time in the sun for it by using that mask shown in the first opening, the first season is where most new JoJo fans lose their interest as it is the slowest part in the show. Starting from the 3rd part, stands are introduced with the explanation that they are your fighting spirit from within and it can only be acquired by stabbing yourself with a golden arrow which judges your worthiness to acquire such a power. All stands are different and powerful in their own way and usually the main villains with stands have the most powerful ones out of everybody, eg: mafia bosses, a random town serial killer and a priest. If you pay attention to the characters, you'll notice that some of them is spread over multiple parts, such as the Star platinum user seen at 9:38 (note that he changes his drip for every part and so does his stand in turn), he appears from part 3 till part 6 (excluding part 5) but it's hard for me to say why without ruining an integral part of the story. Hope you enjoy this anime as much as a lot of us do, love your content, cheers🙌.
btw there is a live medley of jojo openings you can find on youtube probably not good for reactions due to copyright? dunno but definitely check it out in your private time the energy of them singing live is insane 3:55 "That's the way you open stuff man. Getting the energy..." Bloody Stream opening: I was summoned?
Man, you would LOVE watching this anime, just watch through all the parts, don't skip stuff. I have seen the first three parts, and those openings still give me the goosebumps, they mean a lot more when you have the context, and in the case of this Bizzare Adventure, you are never going to have context unless you actually watch this yourself. Oh, and yes, please watch the subs, the original voices give a unique feel by themselves. This goes usually for all anime in general, but for JoJo, I can't think of an English dub ever being able to parallel the original feel.
Well (from what i have seen of the dub, which is just clips because its really hard to find said dub) its actually quite good, the actors try to portray the og japenese ones to a T
@@devintheundertalefan5611 oh is that so? I remember the clip of the Jotaro vs Dio fight, and that did not feel as good, so that's why I was saying so, but to each their own. I just prefer the Japanese voices
JoJo's is a very unique show especially when it comes to openings because every season it follows a new main character that is basically related to the previous main character in some way shape or form so the stories take place in very different time periods
While there are no subtitles on the videos... in your own time or as a video, Jonathan Young has some wonderful English covers that roughly translates everything. If there’s anything he can do, it’s make a banger cover.
Knox man I have been a huge fan for so long and the second I saw you starting to do anime openings I KNEW that I had to recommend you do the One Piece openings. Now I will tell you that there are ALOT of them, 24 in total, but I promise you it has some of the best openings in anime history. I found a link for you that is the most up to date, and it had the subs on them as well, I hope you check it out!! ruclips.net/video/fgZ3W7Kopd8/видео.html
I'd recommend hitting up Sword Art Online. The series itself is rather looked down upon, but I still hold it in my top 3 anime. Regardless, the openings for SAO are fire.
The spirit stuff is called a stand and it is basically sort of a projection of your spirit and only people with stands can see them and each of them are different and you get them by getting hit with an arrow. Also the main characters are all a part of the same family the guy with the mask in the beginning is the villian of most if not the entire show and the mask basically makes him a vampire.
The first, second and 6th parts are on Netflix. The others are on crunchyroll. Since you've mentioned you prefer manga you should totally watch the series then continue with the part 7 and 8 manga run. Part 7 is probably the best composed and written of all the parts and part 8 is just a shitfest of bizarrness
To answer your question, those projections are called "Stands", they are a physical manifestation of one's fighting spirit. Also sad that you didn't get to see the variations of Traitor's Requiem.

@@hiramekimorgan1343 I just wish I could've found a vid in a higher quality than 360p... but without just downloading episodes from Netflix and pulling the OPs via a editing software this is the best I could find.
Also to expand on the JoJo:
Each season is actually called parts. (Joseph Joestar is the 2nd, Jotaro KuJo is the third and so on)
And lastly, time is a big theme in the show so yeah time manipulating type abilities are in fact main villain abilities, hence some openings have 2nd or 3rd versions.
Lastly I do agree the original commentor's recommendation of Full Metal Alchemist. Iirc they tend to have translations as well and one of the best anime ever made and finished.
@@gildedphoenix There is one exception to the rule, Giorno (MC from part 5) is a Brando, not a Joestar
@@SirGrimly yep, that's why i wrote "almost always"
You should definitely watch the series from the beginning. The series is definitely a must watch for anime connoisseurs/fans
I'd recommend the overlord and Re:Zero openings; they have 3 and 4 openings respectively, and are some of my favorites.
"...WHERE'S MY SOOOOOUUL" ah that first op from overlord was the best
So basically, Standa are a projection of one's soul, in the form of a spirit with powers,
Also, Part 5(doughnut hair) has 3 final openings, You need to find them and watch them because, like before, a character takes it over,
Bro I love people like you that actually appreciate the music and such I haven’t vibed harder to the music the same as before! Seeing you appreciate the music made me appreciate it even more than I already did and ur a funny guy lol xD
Now grapple with the fact that except for the last intro, the story material for everything you saw up until then was ALL made and released Before the year 2000 👏🙌
And it's STILL going baby, part freaking 9 is in creation
Love the reactions!!

Fun Fact: Every JoJo Opening was made specifically for each part

@@scallywagrascal What? Noooo, there's no fucking way that these absolute mad lads made openings for each part. How could they have done this, made whole new Jojo Openings for each Jojo Part. It's like it's some sort of anime or something. Fucking wild man
Water is wet
what really?how bruh.. I thought they used one intro for every part 💔💔👍🏻
@@johnwise9811 really I had no idea
jojo's is really one unique manga. in my hischool years I was obsessed with this manga. I love how science work in each ability of character. very fun read.
Wait so how long have you been a JoJo fan??
@@mr.mcnuggiesthe first manga was published since 1987. He must be a 70s to 90s kid.
I highly reccomend "Crying For Rain" by Minami she's such an amazing artist and it does have subtitles so you'll probably be able to talk about it
Domekano op, IIRC?
@@valvaraad yep but the full version
@@Sarge23 yeah, this song is a banger
Amazing song, I wish it would’ve been featured on a better anime but it stands on its own since it’s that good.
Jojo opening's are possibly the best I've seen, even more how they explore the time that's a recurring theme in the series.
edit: It's also a pity you didn't get a version with CC, because the lyrics are so good too.
Can't wait for the 1 and 2 seconds from every jojo episode. It's hilarious
Hope I didn't explain it wrong, I'm just a casual JoJo fan.
close but not quite the old man in op 3 is joseph the main char from op 2

I guess this show could be interesting to you in a way, because many of the characters and especially their abilities are named after songs or bands. For example the plane in the fighting gold opening is called Aerosmith. There are tons of musical references in this show.
my fav the wonder of u, really liked that song
Yeah, Killer Queen, Crazy Diamond, and many more. (Even Henry Stickmin games has one called "Sands of Time)
@@gildedphoenix love train too
In case you did not know, since the 3rd part of the show the villan of the part has used his power to change the opening. I have always though that was low key one of the coolest things any show has done.
Well kira did the same thing by using BITEZ ZA DUSTO
kira did it better sorry
And then Traitor's Requiem happened. First villain stole it then protagonist stole it back
I binged JoJo since it arrived in Netflix and boy when Stardust Crusaders kept on slapping in every episode and it suddemly opens up with an opening variant I had no words.
Here's a little synopsis of JoJo:
The series follows various descendants of the Joestar family and their action filled lives.
9:05 this man solved the secret behind dio's stand in seconds just from the opening
The "Stands", or fighting spirits, are mostly named after famous music artists
You should react to the Carole & Tuesday soundtrack! It’s an anime about music and all the songs are sung in English. Denzel Curry is in it!
Hey Knox!!! I love your reaction videos, and I'm hyped that you're looking at JJBA!
If you're taking suggestions, stick with the JoJo's theme and listen to the individual JoJos' theme songs!
"They must really play around with time... in this series."
Yes.
Wait, 24:39 where are the Diabolo ver. And Giorno ver. ? 🤔 Those are the most epic changes in the opening
True. Was waiting for that
Dude your reactions are just gold why don’t you have like a million subs rn
"he's got some feeling to his voice!"
me: oh ho ho wait till you hear Uragirimono No Requiem
"It's like Pokemon, but traped inside of you and you unleash them yourself".
That's the best interpretation of someone who hasn't seen Jojo that I've ever heard.
I'd reccomend reacting to the perosna openings. They mix up their styles with every addition its really fun!
Knox absolutely hit the bullseye with his interpretation of 'Sono chi no Kioku', without subs or captions, he pulled that one out of thin air. Way to go!
If you're interested in the lyrics, you should check out the channel "jojo's music" it has the full version of all the openings with Japanese and English subtitles.
when the openings are repeated but have a slight difference in them, the anime actually makes it so that the second time it's the main antagonist messing with the opening, which i find pretty cool
the 12th opening actually has 2 more versions and that channel didnt fucking include it
So no chi no sadame (the 1st one) is so iconic, it's the only one that came to mind immediately even tho I've listened to stuff like bloody stream and crazy noisy bizarre town and great days (which is my absolute favourite, as is jojos part 4 in general) so many more times!
*Sees Shigeki for the first time*
"WTF was that creature!?"
Had me dying. 😂
He is so " special" 🤣🤣
It was my same reaction when i saw shigeki
Appropriate reaction to that *demon*
You missed 2 variations of "Traitors Requiem" , still, love seeing you react to JoJo
Hi Knox 🙋
I would really like to recommend you to watch the 'Soul Eater' openings and endings! They are great 😊
JoJo is centered around the Joestar lineage and their, well bizzare adventures.
I'm glad more people are opening up to more aspects of anime. Love it. Also hi new subscriber, I would very much like a red bull, thank you.
i like that he makes all sorts of references to things when the inspiration actually goes the other way around
In part 3, op 3 and 4, the characters have to go somewhere to save a life, so yeah, time is important in this part
btw there is a live medley of jojo openings you can find on youtube
probably not good for reactions due to copyright? dunno but definitely check it out in your private time
the energy of them singing live is insane
3:55 "That's the way you open stuff man. Getting the energy..."
Bloody Stream opening: I was summoned?
@@kyro7482 same here because those ones are WAY easier to find
Little does Knox know almost all protagonist and antagonists can control time, infinite death, fixes things, change dimension
8:23 timing is to on point 😳
This is the first I heard a description of stand as Pokemons but trapped inside of you and man it is very interesting one
5:03 "*clothing is optional*:
JoJo's is a very unique show especially when it comes to openings because every season it follows a new main character that is basically related to the previous main character in some way shape or form so the stories take place in very different time periods
While there are no subtitles on the videos... in your own time or as a video, Jonathan Young has some wonderful English covers that roughly translates everything. If there’s anything he can do, it’s make a banger cover.
this dude is smart as hell when it comes to getting the shows themes from the changes in the music, he got so much spot on
There's a RUclipsr who did pretty good English covers of these openings. He's called Jonathan Young. check those out if you want
Been waiting for this! Glad you finally got to react to this.

What u mean by real music?
Dude, you gotta react to the 2019 Dororo opening. The first one. Sh*t's beautiful. 😭🔥🔥🔥
Yes! Seconding this.
Also the main characters are all a part of the same family the guy with the mask in the beginning is the villian of most if not the entire show and the mask basically makes him a vampire.
you'd probably get some good views if you watched Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, but it kinda conflicts with what's you do with the channel
Traitor Requiem has 2 more versions where the visuals and some vocals change, you might want to check them out since they are actually really good
The first, second and 6th parts are on Netflix. The others are on crunchyroll.
Since you've mentioned you prefer manga you should totally watch the series then continue with the part 7 and 8 manga run.
Part 7 is probably the best composed and written of all the parts and part 8 is just a shitfest of bizarrness
Actually, all the parts are on Netflix. And in several languages besides English and Japanese to boot.
@@emilygillock3803 yes
I'm sad that u didnt see the Golden Wind's ''reverse'' OP, with modifications :( it is my favorite
What makes this series different and bizzarre is that they are divided into parts and each parts has different protags
To answer your question, those projections are called "Stands", they are a physical manifestation of one's fighting spirit. Also sad that you didn't get to see the variations of Traitor's Requiem.
