youtube definitely has a place! for me trying to keep away from social media, it's the only platform I regularly watch as entertainment, as I feel it does not bombard you with too much info like the "scrolling" platforms do, as you can watch only 1 video at a time. can't resist instagram at times though haha I'm looking forward to your weekly videos every Sunday Amelia, please don't stop! xx

When you all started vlogging it was like ten minutes, then it got longer and then instagram stories, YT shorts and now TikTok’s are the hype. Give it a while and people will be craving and discovering more in-depth videos again. Personally I feel like the world is spinning at such a pace, YT longer videos are the thing I consume online to wind down, love your vlogs ❤
This! I feel like IG and TikTok are my "mindless scrolling" apps when I'm bored or need something to waste time like when I'm queueing, but long form RUclips videos are what I really look forward to watching, or having on in the background when I'm cooking or working

It’s like watching a soap opera but you’re letting us into your own life. At first I felt like a voyeur and I shouldn’t be watching. But, I realized that it’s wonderful that you include all of us into your personal life. This is our new reality. So thank you. OG viewer here. RUclips still is the only platform I use and love. I find it so relaxing and soothing and not as addictive. I just follow the creators I like, I watch and enjoy their videos and sometimes find new channels on the discovery page but that's it. So, yes vlogs and RUclips content still is relevant to me

We’ve watched since we were pre-high school and and still do (now out of uni and working). Just the little bit of constance in such a changing world.

I've been watching you forever and I look forward to your weekly vlogs! Especially since going through a rough time in my life like you once did. It really makes me feel like things will be okay.
I LOVE seeing your sister in your videos. She used to be in so many of your vlogs, and it is always SO fun and sweet. And as a long time fan, I do not like the shorts video format on RUclips and TikTok and hope for the day when viewers can have a tab that allows us to choose only long format. They feel lazy. I dislike TikTok because the videos seem superficial. They're funny or cute, but that's about it. I also think that so much of your fun content - travel, meals, activities - that was once in your vlogs, now shows up very briefly in shorts. Your RUclips channel had very little Como footage (if any?) but lots of shopping hauls and home stuff. I do believe the view count for TikTok is higher overall because so many of the viewers are younger, and the engagement is easier. But for influencers/creators who wish to sell products like jewelry, clothing, and skin care, the potentially long-format of RUclips is better suited for those subscribers who want to buy things from their favorite RUclipsrs because we see them as internet personalities. I also think that many of the beauty/fashion viewers love a good, cozy vlog with morning rituals, fun activities with other people, and especially a look into the lives many of us will never, ever experience. You will forever be my favorite RUclipsr, btw. Love your energy and the fun you bring to things. And for demographics, I believe I started watching you in my early 40s, and since watching your videos, I have bought SO many products because you discussed them - tanners, cosmetics, sunglasses, jewelry, and even dishes.

I'm an OG watcher and i still love watching the OG youtubers. I love your vlogs and content, please dont leave youtube! Social media has come along way, inlove your instagram but i still love watching your youtube vlogs. Being a mum on mat leave infind vlogs entertaining and you cant get that on tik tok or instagram. Theres just something so personable and loveable about watching a vlog as opposed to a short reel. Dont ever leave youtube, you will be sorely missed xx

I’m definitely a YT person! This is where I feel comfortable and comforted by watching my people! I find that it’s very overwhelming on TikTok if I spend too much time on there…. It has its time and place but YT is my rock!
I love the vlogs! And during the pandemic I could really see you loosen up through your instagram stories and posts which are hilarious. You’ve changed and it shows in your content, but there is something about your RUclips content that, in my opinion, regardless of the luxe, makes you relatable and fun. It also allows you to explain your thoughts and opinions in fuller length (or use them for a long period of time, like lumene or charlotte tilbury, and I can see how your skin is going in the vlogs) which makes me listen to your reviews vs other influencers or celebrities in other platforms. Hope that helps :) Also, Patricia Bright is the ABSOLUTE BEST, it is so cool you all know each other!

I will always love RUclips style of longer videos and blogs. It makes me feel more connected to people, understand them better and get inspired. I personally hate TikTok, is ok to pass time but it doesn’t inspire me or allow me to know people enough to know if I really like them. Every time I use TikTok I feel like one hour of my life has been completely wasted whereas every time I watch a RUclips video I get inspired to do better for myself. 😊

I watch RUclips more now than ever, and actually spend less time on social media. I put RUclips on in the background while I work, do housework, cook, etc. So there’s definitely a place for RUclips!

I think short videos are amateurish - it takes a lot more skill to produce an interesting vlog, rather than a short reel - please don’t stop Amelia, you’re such a nice person, with amazing taste. Maybe you think now the house is finished you won’t have as much content, but just do it as a diary, describing the products you recommend - we won’t get bored ! ❤

For your contract- is it possible to sign on and include a break clause? Or perhaps negotiate shorter term length with break clause also. As for the changing nature of social media, I think you're right that people value TikTok and RUclips more for its authenticity. I know on TT, the longer form videos are starting to do well in competition with YT, so I think there will always be an audience that enjoys both (plus loads of people I know don't want to download TT). It just feels like no one is really on Instagram that much these days but it still is and will continue to be relevant in different ways, but I feel people are still very much on youtube
Long time youtube lover here. I will never stop watching youtube videos, even if new platforms takes over the world. Tiktok is not my thing. Not reels either to be honest. I will watch them, but I enjoy longer videos more. You connect with the person you follow on a whole different level. And I don't think I will ever remember a tiktok video from 10-15 years ago, but I remember a lot of youtube videos. So glad that you, Estee, Fleur, Anna, Lily and many more still do youtube.

I love RUclips! I watch it every morning while eating breakfast and drinking my tea and getting ready for the day, no other platform replaces that. I like the longer videos because I can put it on and let it play, I don’t have the time to sit and scroll through TikTok or shorter videos.
Your videos on RUclips are my favorite! I barely look at Instagram or TikTok. They’re like the shallow girl in high school who demands everyone’s attention but she’s empty of personality and interest. So, yes, my vote is to keep producing your wonderful RUclips videos ❤.

I’m 24, so not old enough to qualify as OG RUclips audience, but I still prefer long form content. TikTok/Instagram reels have their place, they’re more for discovering new restaurants/trends/etc but I always come back to RUclips when I want to connect with a creator or need more in-depth reviews etc. I hope you don’t stop making these videos! They keep me company during my drives to work and when I’m getting dressed :) short-form content cannot do that!
Still prefer RUclips over short-form contents (IG reels and tiktoks). Please don't stop your vlogs. I love love watching them.

I always go back to RUclips to connect with the Influencers I love. I feel like Influencers are most personable on RUclips as I feel like i spend the day with you.
The long content makes me feel more connected vs the short contents on TikTok and IG.

I try to only follow people on social media to whom I can relate, that are making me feel good about myself (I have been unfollowing people that are just pretty and well dressed and travelling to beautiful places but make me feel like crap because I'll never have the life they have). RUclips allows us to get to know you and you have such a sweet and fun personality! I feel like if we ever meet we'll be friends (haha in my dreams!!)
