7 people shot, 1 killed in Thursday-morning shooting, sheriff's office says

Early Thursday morning, seven people were shot in the 1000 block of Triple Hill Drive in Macon, according to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
The release said Jawasiki Guyton, 34, died in the hospital just after 3:00 a.m. The next of kin has been informed.
One 33-year-old man is in critical condition. The five other people hurt in the shooting are expected to recover.
Coroner Leon Jones said the shooting happened at 1085 Triple Hill Drive. That's off Houston Avenue in south Macon. The sheriff's office said that, when deputies arrived at the scene, they found three people shot. They eventually learned that four others were brought to the hospital in personal vehicles.
