It's great that finally more people will find out about Hungarian tanks. They are so rarely talked about or mentioned, it's great to see them being popularised in WT.
more appropiate would be to call them Czech, or at least mention that they branched out of the czech designs (bcs of course Zrinyi while using Turan's suspension is pretty much a hugarian tank at this point)

The Csaba, Toldi tanks, Nimrod, Straussler V4, 44M Tas, Toldi Pancelvadasz and Zrinyi tanks are all obviously Hungarian and have nothing to do with the Czechs. Just because the original 40M Turan I medium tank was based on the incomplete Skoda T-21 prototype (that the Hungarians finished btw), but then of course made loads of changes to it, doesn't mean that the Turan I is Czech, and the Turan III is definitely not Czech as it is a very heavily upgraded and modified Turan I. The Turan tanks were designed by Hungary, produced by Hungary, and used by Hungary. Stop trying to steal credit for them. What you're trying to do is like saying all tanks are French because they all based their turrets on the original Renault FT-17's turret, or like saying all Italian WW2 tanks are British because they all took heavy inspiration and suspension designs from British interwar tanks, or like saying the Soviet T-26 and Polish 7TP are both British because they used the Vickers 6 ton as their basis. In fact the Japanese heavies were also developed using British interwar heavies as their basis, yet I've never heard people trying to discredit these as British tanks. Might I mention that every single Chinese vehicle is developed (or straight up copied) from a Soviet/Russian design? Why don't you say that the Swedish Strv m/41 and Sav m/43 are Czech vehicles then, as these were also developed from Czech tanks! You have to realise every country took inspiration and used foreign chassis, hulls, and suspensions on their own designs. Stop trying to discredit an already forgotten country's designs for doing something that every major power did, it's actually disgusting. I see so many of you Czechs claiming ridiculous things about how Hungarian tanks are Czech, just because 1 Hungarian tank had Czech influence. 1 Hungarian tank also had Swedish influence, and I have yet to see a single Swedish person trying to claim that Hungarian tanks are Swedish. Also, funny that you admit the Zrinyi is Hungarian, but you still try to say Turan tanks are Czech, even though both the Turan and Zrinyi tanks only share a loosely similar chassis to a Czech design. That's it. Both have Hungarian modified chassis, Hungarian designed turrets/superstructures, Hungarian guns, Hungarian improved armour, smoke grenade launchers, other components, etc.
Regarding the tools for making maps - they actually are available as part of the CDK. A lot of the actual basic tools you need aren't actually Gaijin-specific, you can just use an image editor to make a heightmap, then use the CDK tools to convert the heightmap to a mesh and add all the textures and stuff. As far as I know, nobody really uses that part of the CDK. but is is available and does work.
Hungarian tanks are never talked about and I honestly find them pretty unique it's cool to see one that wasn't really produced doing good (even if it's a video game)
My biggest problem was trying to play it as a PZ. IV with trying to angle and relying on all the bounces etc... and then after failing I fell more in love with it because it's actually unique. The only things I don't like about it is it's a bit too chonky and loud AF, but it will be a permanent addition to my 3.7 Italian lineup with PZ. IV, BF110, Sherman Hybrid etc. for sure. (up until it gets inevitably uptiered).
My opinion as previous Germany main (Sweden is my beloved now): Its just better Pz III (TI/TII) or Pz IV. Yes, you're big chonk, with slightly worse general armouring (in theory) but the mobility... I love it. Finally i can play Puma but with actual armour

M109 which was made before the 2S3 soviet equivalent. the M48A5 which is the M48 upgraded to 105mm cannon that all the M48 in us service were eventually upgraded to; these two come to mind first. its also annoying that there are no unique advantages to the US tree as everyone else also has the same US equipment and sometimes domestically upgraded versions that are around the same BR. Germany for example getting the M48A2 as well as the BMP-1 at the same BR. or how China has all the Taiwan equipment which means that they get a mix of some of the best soviet and american equipment making matches absolutely cancerous against them.

Ever since i started watching odd back in 2022 my skill in warthunder has significantly improved just by observing his playstyle 🎉. When I first started I never used Sniper mode or binoculars while playing in 2 Tier 3 and 4 Tanks that I bought. I found out how to use rangefinder by accident also 😂

Nice that you played a hungarian tank, I think as a hungarian its good that these vehicles will get more notice from the public because they are in warthunder. Interesting thing is that if I remember correctly the really well angled plate at the top should be 35mm and the cupola front should be 60mm, while the Turret back should be 55mm. There are more tanks/vehicles Hungary could get and I am really looking forward to them. Also you should play the Zrínyi II, it has good armor, okay mobility (not the best accalerating) and a good gun (105mm with HEAT).
I have to be honest, the title is pretty surreal for me, but I'm glad you love our tank....well sort of our. I wish we could produce the Turán III in greater numbers. Hungary's finest, alongside with the Zrínyi. On the other hand I'm really sad about Gaijin messed the Lynx. Funny enough the Gaijin HQ is in Budapest

I've been watching your content just for a few days now and I've enjoyed it so far and even went on to download war thunder, but from watching your content to getting hands on experience is a whole different thing 😂, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong but I die at every turn but at least it's in a free premium American tank 😅
It took me a few years but now I consistently top score every Match. Sometimes my brain goes into Autopilot and I play games without even thinking. After enough trial and error you will get the hang of it, top tip is to reduce your engine noise to the minimum and boost other players ones to max in the audio section. You can pick up unbelievable amounts of intel from the minimap + killfeed. If you truly know what you're doing you can predict what tank you will face before you even see it. Good luck out there soldier! o7
As a hungarian its weird/interesting to hear the crew of the tank talking in my native language :D I didn't really paid much attention to their comments in-game when i was driving other tanks from different nations but it got my attention in this video. I don't have this tank unlocked yet but soon i will get to try it ;)
I think they get whoever makes the Call of duty maps to make their maps. They all have funnels where you gotta pass through and its usually 3 main ones like COD. Then they block off parts so you cant go there to counter those 3 main routes.
A lil tip for the Turan: drive them backwards, since you reverse as fast as you went forward, and the engine will actually help since both the American 75 and Russian 76 can pen you practically everywhere but cant get across the engine compartment It works even better on turan I and II since theyre very tough in the first stage

I would actually argue Odd that during my playtime with the vehicle, I've been uptiered every single match to 4.7 and not once been downtiered to face 2.7 tanks cuz Gaijin's matchmaker is still compressing tanks to higher tiers regardless of being decompressed or not
Day idek: I rly recommend playing the su100P, it has a very good pen for its br, good mobility and a low profile, making it an excellent tank destroyer for flanking…I’d love to see you play it but still love the content!
I'm assuming the hills around the spawn is to keep people from sniping into the spawn from across the map, which is another thing people constantly complain about.
Yes, but no. The hills are literally perfectly situated so enemies can camp on them and fire into spawn, while simultaneously making it difficult (especially at low tier) to get out of. North cap on Frozen Pass is one of the worst for this.
Crazy good tank for 3.7. I played against it yesterday. I saw something quick, but it was far away, it was a downtier against Italy and soviets so I presumed it was something fairly weak BUT it then proceeded to go through the front of my jadgpanzer like butter....
The first time I saw thing I got really confused cause I forgot it got added. I shot it in the sherman and it didn't pen from like 30 meters. I went to check the armor protection analysis and I think I shot the one part of the tank I couldn't pen
I used to be semi-good at this game when i could actually hear enemy tanks around me. Now I almost always die because theres an enemy tank beside me or behind me making absoloutley no audio.
6:45 The Hungarian tanks were inspired by Swedish tanks, the Toldi I was a Swedish L-60 built from licence, and later Toldis were also based on the design. Great video, the starting joke hit a bit hard, but we are used to it :P
Only the Toldis and Nimrod have any connection to Sweden. And the Toldi I is not an L-60 built under licence, it was developed from the L-60 but with significant changes and redesigns.
I am having an _awful_ time spading the Csaba while grinding the Hungarian line. The round is just so unpredictable. One shot ammo racks, while the next 3 don't even injure crew. Looks like I need to just buck up and get'er done so I can enjoy this bad boy.
Use it's good mobility to make wide flanks. Shooting side armour usually has good results. Tho I feel like it is often afflicted with ghost shells. Also it helps that at this BR there are many Lemming trains that just drive straight towards the objective which makes the path the enemy takes very predictive.
glad the gun works for you, I cant get it to do anything, even dead on turret cheeks of tanks and it just vanishes, or perfect side on shots to ammo, and doesnt pen, I legit haven't had a fun game in this tank :(

The chassis is checz, the gun is a copy of a german gun, and only prototypes were ever built.

Day idek: I rly recommend playing the su100P, it has a very good pen for its br, good mobility and a low profile, making it an excellent tank destroyer for flanking…I’d love to see you play it but still love the content!
I'm assuming the hills around the spawn is to keep people from sniping into the spawn from across the map, which is another thing people constantly complain about.
Yes, but no. The hills are literally perfectly situated so enemies can camp on them and fire into spawn, while simultaneously making it difficult (especially at low tier) to get out of. North cap on Frozen Pass is one of the worst for this.
You also can't shoot from spawn to spawn in this map, there is a city in the way. So that makes your point moot

Crazy good tank for 3.7. I played against it yesterday. I saw something quick, but it was far away, it was a downtier against Italy and soviets so I presumed it was something fairly weak BUT it then proceeded to go through the front of my jadgpanzer like butter....

The first time I saw thing I got really confused cause I forgot it got added. I shot it in the sherman and it didn't pen from like 30 meters. I went to check the armor protection analysis and I think I shot the one part of the tank I couldn't pen
Front glacis and turret face should be a flat 80mm, riveted from 2x40mm plates, so its probably represented as slightly lower RHA equivalent.

I used to be semi-good at this game when i could actually hear enemy tanks around me. Now I almost always die because theres an enemy tank beside me or behind me making absoloutley no audio.
Ya, I've been playing since 2018, never managed to hear an enemy.

Only the Toldis and Nimrod have any connection to Sweden. And the Toldi I is not an L-60 built under licence, it was developed from the L-60 but with significant changes and redesigns.

I am having an _awful_ time spading the Csaba while grinding the Hungarian line. The round is just so unpredictable. One shot ammo racks, while the next 3 don't even injure crew. Looks like I need to just buck up and get'er done so I can enjoy this bad boy.
Use it's good mobility to make wide flanks. Shooting side armour usually has good results. Tho I feel like it is often afflicted with ghost shells.
Also it helps that at this BR there are many Lemming trains that just drive straight towards the objective which makes the path the enemy takes very predictive.
glad the gun works for you, I cant get it to do anything, even dead on turret cheeks of tanks and it just vanishes, or perfect side on shots to ammo, and doesnt pen, I legit haven't had a fun game in this tank :(

Odd PLEASE play the Japanese Type 87 RCV with APFSDS rounds…one of the funnest tanks I’ve played although it requires a sneaky/aggressive play style
