    I love that this book is synonymous with graduation. I got a copy of this book a few times with cash in it when I graduated from family friends. I've done the same to keep the tradition going. Great cake design.

    Awesome Job! Would love to see a tutorial of the "Welcome Home" drip cake that the other mother makes at the dinner scene for Coraline. From the movie "Coraline." I haven't found one on youtube yet.

    I thought that when you work with fondant you can't have a art cake. Do you think that whipped cream and strawberries filling in the cake would work?

    The lady that does how to cake it have a bottle for simple syrup that she have on sale and its very handy for applying the simple syrup to keep the cakes moist, you can have a look to see if you are interested in purchasing one, I AM NOT PROMOTING OR ADVERTISING FOR HER, I just like watching her videos with cake making just like how I watch your videos, the bottle is SIR. SQUEEZE ALOT, lol

    love your job! i have a question.. with this kind of cake that takes longer to make for all the details that has, do you keep it in the fridge while assembling? i'm asking because in my country is so hot and we have a lot of humidity that we cant pop it in the fridge couse it starts to kind of sweat when you take it out..and it gets messy.. so we assemble our cakes just before the client picks it up.. and they take it straight to their party..

      Hi there! Yes I keep my cakes in the fridge in between decorating sessions but I had mine calibrated so that condensation isn't an issue. Unfortunately I don't have any experience baking in very humid climates, I live in a very neutral area so we don't really have any weather extremes that affect my cakes too much. Are you familiar with cake central? Its a cake website that is great for questions like this! I will link a discussion forum regarding caking in areas similar to yours so hopefully someone there can give you some options:) www.cakecentral.com/forum/t/686927/how-to-control-cakes-from-sweating-in-high-humidity

    My question would be how is it cutting that cake to serve with that small cake board between the layers?

    • @TheLovelyBaker
      @TheLovelyBaker  5 лет назад

      The cake board in the middle ensures that you arent cutting really big pieces since the cake is so tall:)

    How do you know when to do the simple syrup and when not to?

    • @TheLovelyBaker
      @TheLovelyBaker  5 лет назад +1

      Usually I go by the crumb of the cake. Soft, light texture? No simple syrup. Dense, firmer texture? Simple syrup. You could really do all your cakes though it won't really hurt it unless the crumb is super moist:)

    I'm a bit confused on how you adhere the balloon to the cake...help? 😩

    • @TheLovelyBaker
      @TheLovelyBaker  8 лет назад +1

      Hey Ally, I used a wooden skewer that I pushed into the centre of the balloon, I just made sure it was long enough so that it could be pushed about halfway down into the top tier

  • @samalicharvet260

    Was there a cake board under the top tier?

    • @Tragicnex
      @Tragicnex 6 лет назад

      samali charvet im going to assume so because of how easy she picked it up and the way there was no cake at the bottom of it when she pushed it in
