Excellent. In 1983 me and a load of mates caught the train down from Stourbridge, near Brum. It was an epic adventure. I was only 13 at the time. If me mom had of found out she would have killed me. Massive respect.
So many good memories from here!!!!! 55 and still riding.
Listening to Max talk about his Ultra Burner was cool, I got mine around 82/83 when they first came out, I would have been ten or eleven. In Hemel we had a BMX Track over in Grovehill, occasionally a wooden quarter pipe would appear and I’d try a weak sauce kick turn, lol. We made the trip to Harrow Skate Park one time on the train, very intimidating! 😬🤣
Great video thankyou for sharing. Amazing I never got to go Gillingham Black Lion was my haunt but.......same designers and same (less popular than the Rom) scene.
I'm experiencing a big case of imposter syndrome watching this. I'm in some good company there!
Getting round to edit the full interviews of everyone - I forget how great they are …
@@RomboysFilm long time ago now. Time flies.
What year did Romford skate park open ?
@@porkpie8667 1978
@@RomboysFilm I visited the park in 1989 . A group of us from Manchester went down to South Bank in the morning. Then got the tube or train to Romford.
It was a top day out .
