Out of the thousands of mods that have been made, no mod has gotten closer to the fnf/phantoms art style than banbuds. Every other mod gets it super close sometimes but banbuds matched it PERFECTLY with his mods like tricky and hypno
the amount of respect i felt for Speedz when he called the change in Ballistic's instrumental's is INSANE but somehow he still didnt notice a chart that is several times better than the rest of the mod
Most of these mods ended up getting official ports with VS Whitty Definitive Edition and Hazy River. I will say these old mods have a particular vibe which lots of the new stuff doesn't quite match with some of these just feeling like official weeks or so ingrained into the legacy of the game they may as well be. I've got a small hope that the V-Slice Funkin' update will have mod support so we can see these a lot of these old mods brought up to the new standards and be made playable years from now to far later perhaps even when the full game is actually out.

Then a thumbnail appeared with Tricky in it, then I was like 'fine, I'll see what this game is about', found out it sounds unique and better than other rhythm games and the community was cranking out mods for it. That was a while ago, now we have things that sound as good as Vs Tree, Hotline 024, Trollge Files, Mario's Madness v2, and eventually One Shot Mania

When i stopped watching fnf videos..i got bored bc not many mods were eye catching to me at the moment but one day i was like "lets see what this Garcello mod is abt, see if ill like it" i watched it and fell in love with the mod and songs😭
I remember those days very well, as a fan of FNF on Android, I must admit that it was almost impossible to find the ported mods back then, and I had to watch the videos over and over again to feel like I was playing them, good memories. Then in Roblox the FNF fever started and that's where I experimented with mods and etc. And thanks to that I also got to know Osu Mania 4K more thoroughly. It’s so crazy that just 3 years ago, all of my close friends were OBSESSED with fnf, and we would sit and draw the mods for hours. Things are so different now, I haven’t really talked in any of them in a year. I don’t know why but it’s one of those things that continues to have a choakhold on me to this day, I genuinely love how passionate the modding community is, and I’m glad to see that there’s still updates coming out! definitely might become one of my favorite games
On April 18th week 7 of Tankman came out, and like Atsuover the next day he was modifying that week [In creation of the Smoke Em Out Struggle mod] We know that on May 3rd the Garcello mod would be released, and I think this will be becomes the MOD with FIRST LYRICS in FNF if we assume that the first versions of Garcello's mod already had "Release" with his famous "Tight bars, little man" since Atsuover created the mod. In addition, it will also be the first to have an animation which is Garcello's death, in addition to being the first mod with voice acting since Rageminer gave voice to Garcello dying in the scene before starting Release. He had to do several voice lines for Garcello's death scene to get the right one and it is the scene that we all know today. I'm sorry for all the text, it was a "Little investigation" that I dedicated myself to doing. Good video and keep it up man, you're actually really cool and good enough! ❤🥰😍😇🫂

A friend of mine compared Ballistic and Expurgation. He said that Expurgation was hard because of its gimmicks and how it distracts you, and that Ballistic is difficult because if forces you to always keep your hands on the notes, and is hard just on its own.

Honestly, the mod I'd have to pick is Vs Shaggy. Don't get me wrong, I love Tricky, Whitty and Garcello and those older mods a lot. But Scooby-Doo was a massive part of my childhood, and the full Shaggy mod has some amazing songs. Decent charting (debatable I know), and the addition of 6, 7 and 9 keys really changed up the gameplay drastically. I love the Shaggy mod so much!

I played alot of mods but most of my nostalgia wasn't "mods" is was 4/4 of garcello songs, erefu (FL), lofight (whitty), and 4/8 of kapi songs, (the update that nyaw came out)
The roblox game called funky friday, the first update of the second map, that Era was my nostalgic Era, and now I think abt it, sporting and target practice from Matt was also pretty nostalgic, plus the among us and shaggy mod
i think its the fact that Whitty was the first ever fnf mod to be made which inspired others to make other modes for it because of how much traction Whitty got
Bro, all these songs remind me of the best era of my life by far. When one of the Roblox games I still play to this day was at it's most nostalgic phase of it's life, when I was still playing Terraria 1.3 on my Nintendo Switch, when I would listen to these songs on repeat on my school computer... I can barely believe some of these songs are now around 4 years old... holy shit man...

Just a Question, will you ever reupload Scuffed Guy? I would like to replay one of the great mods from the TPT Funk Jam, but can't right now due to it being taken off GameBanana. One of my Favorite OG's is Garcello just because it was chill and fun while having heart due to Garcello's story.
yeah i remember ballistic being only double drops, it was much harder and unplayable back then.
