- Sometimes replacing something as simple as a gaiter can mean the rear end of a bike has to be removed!

If you drop the bevel drive and slide the shaft out you can swap the gaiter quite easily.
If you get a tricky one, you can also just remove the swingarm bolts and it slides backwards (wheel removed)
You'll know for next time. Massive time saver (I'm a BMW tech).👍

I had the same when I completely overhauled the final drive on my R1200, a lot of work in way, but quite satisfying when all completed and passed MOT.

Replaced the rear gator on my R1200GS, a nice smooth job took me less than 30 minutes.
The ASMR alone makes this video, irrespective of the truly epic, and unique way of presenting the repair.
