I wanted to install one in my dual charger but the fan makes more sense...I do carry this fan everywhere. I mean I probably will still install one on the charger, but the fan one would be for my phone or my speaker. Great video man, thank you for this.
I didn't check voltage at the motor, but the voltage going into the switch where I tapped in is whatever the battery is putting out at that time. It ranges from about 16-20v depending on the charge level. I picked a USB port that was good for 12v to 24v DC systems so I knew it would handle 18v. I've been thinking about adding an LED light to mine as well, and would like to find one that has a switch built in to it but haven't had any luck finding one yet.
Wish you did all that unscrewing prior.
Sorry you had to suffer through it.

No problem, thanks for checking it out! It really is the perfect summer time combo.
Link to a part? Great idea
Great mod man! Definitely doing this. Wish I could make the ac/dc plug something more universal. Awesome video brother
Thanks, man! If you come up with something for that let me know, I'd love to see it.
Very cool 😎
Thanks!
That’s such a useful mod! Will it work if it’s plugged in to AC outlet?
Thanks! I've honestly never tried it, but it should.
@@brianrussell9511 I have not, but I will try to remember to do it next time I'm in the shop.
@@brianrussell9511 just tried it. It does work!
I know most smart phones regulate the voltage coming in but Is it a lower voltage at the USB to safely charge, say a Milwaukee usb light?
The USB outputs 5v DC and should be able to safely charge any USB device.
@@trucksandtools2679 thanks
What the voltage going to the motor? My bet is 12VDC. I wanna put a light on mine!
