Like the guides. Makes backing up much easier. I actully made mine with treated wood and moved the lights onto them. Those low short trialers are hard to see backing up. Nice high guides like that make it nice. Great vid as always. Congrats on tne 1k sub mark. Its growing finally. Keep up the great work.
Thank you!! That's the main reason I have them, I can't see the trailer when I back up haha other than that, they do help on rough, windy days when I'm trying to get the boat on the trailer. I never thought of adding breaks lights or reverse lights onto them... I may try that. Thanks for the idea, Justin!
Looks good - very nice! 😊👍 Just a heads up, PVC eventually weakens and degrades due to the UV rays of the sun. You may want to paint the PVC. Any spray paint should work. The paint will become the barrier to block the UV rays which should make the PVC last forever. This applies to any exposed PVC conduit outside around your home as well. A little ounce of prevention before a crisis occurs is preferable to a lot of fixing up afterward.
Thank you @floridafishhunter! I never really gave it that much thought. As I'm sure you know, the sun eats everything alive. It would be worth just spray painting it to see how long it will last. Thanks for the heads up!! 👊
Tell me about it... I love the sun but sometimes, geeze, I think it's trying to kill me lol... If you paint it white, future scratches that are inevitable will pretty much go unnoticed. I'm a little ocd sometimes so I figured I would mention about the color... 😉
Nice system. Just noticed your bunks don’t extend to at least the transom. Bottoms on these boats are only 0.080 to 0.100 thick and tend to bend ( hook) over time and road travel. Extending the bunks to a point at least even with the transom helps to reduce the stresses while traveling particularly when trailering with the engine mounted to the transom. Just a thought. Enjoyed your post.
Good point. I will make that adjustment soon. I planned on lowering the bunks anyways and I'm going to be removing the engine from the boat to test it too so I'll definitely address that. Thank you Lloyd!!
Gonna plan on doing this tomorrow just slightly different I got the supplies today...I’m sure it will make loading my 12 foot semi v a lot easier that the tiny cheap “guides” that’s the trailer came with 😂😂
Haha I know it wasn't good when I looked back going 60mph and both pvc poles were like dog ears in the wind 😅 The standard PVC thickness is definitely the way to go haha it really helped making them the size I wanted and placing them where I wanted so that the boat was super easy to load and unload. Good luck with your project!

No worries... I can be a little ocd like that too hahaha good tip on the paint choice 👌
Awesome video, thanks for the help

I'll have to get a trailer one day but for now, i'll just load it into my truck and take it from there.
If you can still hand load it, keep on doing it! It made it fun to go fish places without a boat ramp
Glad to see you hit 1k!
Thank you for being apart of it @GRANT KEEL // GUITAR!!
Good video thanks 🐊
Congrats on hitting 1k😃👍
Thank you @GetOutTheHouseGoFish!! I know you helped some
i made that mistake & im still looking for my boat. i figure its made it out in the gulf by now.
Thanks for the how to video.
I'm brand new to this, what is the purpose of this pipes?
The pipes help guide the boat to the correct position on the trailer when you go to put the boat on the trailer while it's in the water.
@@JTgatoring thanks for the information.
Should have used a t-fitting guide be closer to boat.
Get to the point!🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
