I played this a lot on my Amiga at the time and having just been allowed by my parents to watch the movie, I loved the opening scene "Thank you for your co-operation"
Did I ever complete the game? No, I could only get a few levels in and then I'd have to start it all again after dying on the end bosses. Regardless of the frustration involved, it was a great game and one I still reference today.

RoboCop was a commercial success especially in Hong Kong where it was the highest-grossing arcade game of 1988.
The game sold over 1 million copies worldwide. It was especially successful in the United Kingdom, where it was the best-selling home computer game of the 1980s. It also topped the UK charts for a record 36 weeks until it lost it's number one position to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
