Its different hearing this song without any AUUUUUUGHHHHHH and metal clanking lol
This is exactly what I imagine getting drunk on wine and trying to walk around must sound like.
Yes i tried, it is. It works perfectly at 18:09 walking in a meadow, with the end of a spliff in your hand.
Ps, caught in the burst of Summer's ending sun.
@@Yjuki What an absolutely gorgeous image. Lucky. 😆

I thank you for that, Let's run in the meadow together! I bless you & hopes you have a wonderful day! 🎐
You mean being French?
I love this song
We recorded this in Cincinnati in 2007. Amazing use of processing and audio plug-ins to achieve the sound of an old 78. Love it🎻
Oh wow, you’re one of the guys who played this? Can you elaborate on how to get this kind of sound? I was sure this was recorded by Django way long ago and I still struggle to believe it’s not lmao
@@arkhamparadise1319 I'm not the musician, but a fan. Paul P. is the fantastic violinist on this tune. Everything they play is dreamy...and you're right about Django...his spirit is carried on in this music.
You were a part of this?! That’s amazing and I hope you have a lovely day my friend
Well you all did a fantastic job. I'm mesmerised by your violin playing. thank you
It's always cool to see the artists who worked on a piece comment on it. It sounds amazing, great job.
This song and La Mer I feel are Bioshock’s anthems. Nothing makes me think of gunning down splicers and hurling plasmids at big daddy’s quite like these two songs.
The two are incredible and La Mer is on another level.
Angels are nearby, daddy!

Growing up, I would often be scared to sleep alone. I'd always sleep with the light on, I would be scared of little noises from the wind, and I was the only child in my family to feel this way. What made me comfortable was listening to music and being around my mother. On the special occasion of it being a really windy night or sleeping in a bed that wasn't my own, I would ask her to sing me this song and she would. Today I was going through some soundtracks on the Xbox 360 for a project I was working on and happened to stumble upon Bioshock. A game I haven't played but honestly has a super relaxing soundtrack. The moment this song turned on, everything started to come back. Going camping with my mom, taking a nap in the car on a super rainy day. Or spending a night at my Grandmas's house in the middle of the woods. The one thing I love about art is how they can recall memories you might have forgotten about and no other form of media does it better than video games ever will. What a special piece of work this is.
You had a very kind mother. That’s a really cute story :)
Every generation of my family has used this as their wedding song for 70 years. A family tradition.
@fudgepacker i’ve been wondering the same thing, can’t find them on anything much official
@fudgepacker This song will be 100 years old next year, first recorded by the Isham Jones Orchestra.
If you’re talking about this particular recording, this one was made in 2007 specifically for this game, it’s just made to sound older than it is.
This one stuck with me when I heard it for the first time. It’s got a melancholic tune
I've played bioshock when it first came out. I owned it then, and still play it. A remake/ sequel to the real original underwater game is what is needed.
There is bioshock 2.
Yeah but bioshock 2 doesn't even compare to this masterpiece
@@doublem1975x pfft it makes you too overpowered even in hard mode, we need a TRUE sequel, one that actually makes you balanced with your powers and not a tank
@@asscheeks3212 Maybe cause you play as a I dunno... A BIG DADDY !
Nah game doesn't need a remake.
The awesome music in this game really added to the experience. Love it.
You promised me pretty Steinman, you promised me pretty!
I don't know why but this makes me nostalgic even though I didn't live that time I've played the game about 7 times
i need 10 hour version
this song makes me think about shuffling feet on carpet in room under the sea

Making french fries with this music is so relaxing
This is scripted to play after you exit the room where you kill Steinman.
Thank you for sharing this excellent post. I love it !
This was sung on Doctor Who, The Empty Child at the start
real shit?
i come for the double r'bar
Yup, I got banned in the game cause I "accidentally" said some slurs so I ended up to this playlist and pretend I'm in there I really miss that place
