I came here to watch this speech after watching the trailer ""Main ATAL hoon"" movie. in this movie, pankaj tripathi who is known as the one of the finest actor of India, even can't portrayed the role of ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE ji and couldn't feel goosebumps in this speech.
Shree ATAL JI speech is thousands times better than of movie and it will feel real if they play or copy the speech as same.

Pankaj Tripathi has given his best to the role. But, it's very difficult to portray Atal ji. Atal ji was not just a politician but a great poet too. It's extremely difficult to portray the oratory skills of Atal ji, which was even acknowledged by Pt. Nehru. But, we can at least appreciate the hard work of Pankaj Tripathi in the role. Coming to Atal ji, I always feel that he got much less time as a PM as to what was his potential, just like Shastri ji. He should have at least got 10 years as a PM. If Manmohan Singh (controlled by Sonia Gandhi) could get 10 years' tenure, why not Atal ji. Indian voters did blunder in 2004. Most of the projects initiated by Atal ji in his tenure, either got cancelled or delayed or mishandled by Congress. PM Gram Sadak Yojana, Golden Quadilateral Project, Chandrayaan Mission, Rafale Deal, etc. Finally, these were revived after Modi came to power.

In this video, you can see him lamenting over the issues of coalition politics where building consensus over important policy issues was very difficult. I guess India hasn't peaked yet and we have a long way to go, but the life of a common man today is far far better than any point in the last 1000 years.

He was expressing my feelings of today seeing 75 year old India. We've have not changed much.
Looks like you are sitting with your eyes closed... Healthy criticism is good and yes, there will always be room to better ourselves.
But when you say "we havent changed much", its clear as day that you are one of those people who cant see progress even when it slaps you in the face. I can count a million things that have changed right from infrastructure, lifestyles, purchasing power, global brands, decreasing poverty line, increased global power, etc. but blind fools wont see any of it.
It pains deeply to see how patriotism and pride in nation's achievements is decreasing by the day. Just look around and you will find all our neighbors in financial and political crisis.
Its shameful that we have come to this. People just want to bark "ye desh mein kuch nahi badalnewala". If you feel so strongly that nothing has changed, then be the change and do something about it.

BJP has brought India in the Top 70 nations when it comes to Ease of Doing Business. Under Congress this rank was around 140.
They also satisfied their core voters by Building Ram Mandir and Abrogating 370 from Kashmir.
BJP gave money to ppl so that they might make Toilets. It gave electricity, LPG, and loans to small businesses.
These are the reason why I personally feel that BJP will win once again in 2024.
Only problem they might have is regarding Covid Mismanagement.

But Modi 1.0 was undoubtedly marvelous, the average GDP growth rate during Modi 1.0 was 7.32% highest growth rate in any PM term in the history of India. Our foreign reserve increase from independence to 2014 is 213 billion USD, but from 2014 to now it's more than 580 billion USD. Modi has some of the fully successful programs like Digital India, Jan-Dhan Yojana and some partially successful program like Sawacha Bharat Abhiyan in which more then 330 million toilets has been built. We progress a lot in country infrastructure like roads, highways, tunnels, etc. The average construction of road during MODI 1.0 is the highest in the history of any PM term. We teach a good lesson to Pakistan and so the terrorist attack in India stopped for quite a time. We built a strong foreign relation to other countries if you follow geopolitics you know that.
In terms of Modi 2.0, the mistakes are:-
Lockdown at the initial state
Unable to Handel protest
Total failure in controlling Covid second wave.
BUt they did satisfy their core voters at the initial stage of MODI 2.0
Manmohan Singh was a great man and if he has the power like Modi then he definitely did something extraordinary but sadly most of the power resides in the hand of Italian lady, but he still was one of the best PM along with Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Pv narshmia Rao, and Indira Gandhi.
After Modi dies , you will say the same thing!!
