    Nice video. I understand that your video is for the UK construction industry, but it looks initially difficult to read a rebar drawing when all the lines have the same weight.

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  3 года назад +2

      Thanks Argiris! You're right rebar should have the biggest weight, maybe it's not too visible on this drawing but there are different weights on it too. Videos are not only for UK, but most of information is taken from UK construction sites so they show UK 'real life' 😁 construction site.

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  3 года назад +1

      Hi Rajarshi! Bends are minimum allowed and hook length and shape depends on the load acting on the element (reacting forces inside the element), all this you will find in Eurocode2

      Closer to first one:(second ex. is definitely wrong) 2x32-01-150 T&B, but why not keeping B and T separate?? Remember on sites ppl work with A3 drawings and even simple rebar drawing is much better when separate

    gypsum supports,starting from LS , long span goes first as a 1, then the short spans SS vertically as a 2, then followed by chairs,after that verticals SS as a 2 and then the horizontal long span LS as a 1, concluding the 1-2,2 -1 rule on the slabs?
    LS ,SS (chairs) SS ,LS

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  3 года назад +1

      Harry, not really sure what exactly you want to know. Slabs - first is B1 then B2 ( B3,B4.. - depending how many bottom layers), second - chairs installation so the top mat can be installed then T2 (or T4 depending on how many top layers) - with this top layer all column shearlinks should be installed not leaving it for the very end (which almost always happens). Please also note while installing bottom and top there might be separate drawing for extra/additional bars and these have to be installed as you progress.

    • @harrybotonikes
      @harrybotonikes 3 года назад +1

      My understanding was the LS long span is the outer coat,SS short span is the inner coat,even vertically since it wouldn't make a solid structure if you install on a slab vertical rebar first.
      I am basically trying to see if I am missing something.
      Like we put first the long horizontals -long spans and on top you put the smaller vertically ,considering the weight also as a factor.
      Thank you sir/Siteng for your time,your videos are an oasis!

    What is 35 ? And 45? Please explain

    • @SITENG

      it's compressive strength of concrete, one is for a cylinder (150x300) sample and the other is for cube (150x150). Ccyl35, Ccube45 -----> C35/45

    41 box bar , 51 standard link 63 double or security link , 33 sausage link 👊, each bar mark with same shape and dimensions is bundled together max 2 t per bundle so painful for fixers when comes to digging, very often it’s better for them to say they are missing. Each load is weighed once complete and always should be under as steel is under rolled.👊

    Hi

  • @belaluddin3593
    @belaluddin3593 Месяц назад

    there must be an error in the formula someone clarify why i dont get the same answer:
    Shape Code: 12
    A + B - 0.5r - d
    A = 200mm
    B = 1000mm
    r = 20mm
    d = 10mm
    My 3D measurement doesn't match this formula.
    actual : 1191mm using arc length (31.4mm) 180mm + 980mm
    formula: 1180mm

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  Месяц назад

      I would be really surprised if the formula is wrong, I would rather assume the formula is right and cut the bar 1180 which after bending would probably give you your 1191 - think about it and let me know :)

    • @belaluddin3593
      @belaluddin3593 Месяц назад

      @SITENG
      Yes but I'm not assuming it's correct I've calculated and I'm getting different results.
      I can understand using a different formula because when bending metal it's not as simple as a line. You can test it yourself but 0.5r is not the arc length of the curve.
      A is straight line
      B is a straight line
      C is a curve
      A + B + C
      C is definitely not the arc length of a circle.
      So am I not correct to think there's an error either in calculation or the formula.
      What is (0.5r - d)?

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  Месяц назад +1

      @@belaluddin3593 As I said I assume this is the steel working, but you would have to dig deeply into the standards how the formulas are created and what's taken into account - This is the L of the bar needed for bending not a total when the barmark is ready
