      It definitely is. I should have got one sooner. I think I like it better than the 2511 😆

      They aren't a bad little saw but honestly, your new little 194 will out cut the Milwaukee and a tank of fuel will be the same as 2 batteries.

    And what is the ignition advance angle before top dead center?

    • @PoplarMechanic
      @PoplarMechanic  11 месяцев назад

      I'm not sure. I just know advancing from stock definitely gives more power.

  • @nicholaslacroix7722
    @nicholaslacroix7722 7 месяцев назад

    How much richer did you have to run it for the exhaust mod? Also did you take it off and do the other side baffle too?

    • @PoplarMechanic
      @PoplarMechanic  7 месяцев назад +1

      I just did the one side. I just backed it off to the limiter, I believe. So turn it left until it hits the limiter.

    • @nicholaslacroix7722
      @nicholaslacroix7722 7 месяцев назад

      I did mine and I went to richen it and it was already wide open! So I snipped the limiter and tuned it by ear until it sounded 2 stroke like and called it good. Might need to advance the timing now too, but was also thinking about drilling some more holes in the baffle and trimming the raised lip at the deflector so it doesn’t have ti go up and around the little shroud to exit

    Do you run 94-110 octane? I did mods to my 2 stroke street bikes in the 70' and 80's. I'm not sure if the advance mod will work with my 192 tc or not. I think it has a key. Any suggestions?

    • @PoplarMechanic
      @PoplarMechanic  6 месяцев назад +1

      You can take the key out and file or grind one side, then put it back. It will work. Obviously, you have to make sure the side that goes in the fly wheel is not ground

    • @PoplarMechanic
      @PoplarMechanic  6 месяцев назад

      Yes, I run high octane in all my saws

    • @PoplarMechanic
      @PoplarMechanic  6 месяцев назад +1

      Oops, correction. Grind only the fly wheel side of the key. I have done it with a file without taking it out

    Is modding the muffler alone give it a boost?

    • @PoplarMechanic
      @PoplarMechanic  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes. Just fatten up the high jet a bit.

    • @SpaceExplorer31
      @SpaceExplorer31 8 месяцев назад

      Sorry
      I’m not to mechanical. Do you mean open up the high jet hole a little bit ?
      Thanks

    • @PoplarMechanic
      @PoplarMechanic  8 месяцев назад +2

      @SpaceExplorer31 Yes. Basically, the muffler mod will improve air flow, causing a leaner condition. Turn the H jet to the left to increase the fuel. If the limiter stops you, it should still be fine butted up against the limiter. That saw is way better with an open muffler. Enjoy!

    Isn't that funny looking bar technically for wood carving?

    • @PoplarMechanic

      No, it isn't for wood carving. The 150 comes with the 1/4 bar

    • @alotl1kevegas860
      @alotl1kevegas860 Год назад

      I must of been mistaken. I was told the 1/4" bars with the skinny nose were for carving. Maybe it just looks funny in the video, or my eyes are shot lol.. I'm going to do the timing mod on my 193t later today.
