Would've been more interesting if GG6 was the feature instead, more dynamic that way in my opinion...this one fell flat for me, except for the stunning vocals of Elize
I disagree with you on this one. For me this is my favorite Beyond the Black Song, not only because of Elize singing in it. She did her magic again to uplift any song she participated.
Personally I'm not a fan of collaborations between similar voices. Jennifer could have sang all the parts of this track and the song wouldn't have sounded any different. If you think of art, you add different colours to add contrast that enhance the overall piece. For me this just added blue onto something already blue. What is the point? Perhaps this was done because the first singles didn't hit, thus needed Elize name for marketing purposes. Or perhaps at some point they will be touring together and they plan to be able to perform this track together.
Amaranthe and Beyond The Black were due to tour together before the lockdowns. I hope it sounds different live, the 2 voices can stand apart from one another.
I did some googling and yes indeed, They will be doing a tour of Europe together (or at least they were planning to) so that is why they did this collab. Seems like a new trend, bands that are touring with each other do features on a song so they can perform it live.
Y'know, I typed up a whole bunch and scrapped it...but, what it boils down to is this: I'm not a huge fan of this song...and I hope the unreleased songs on the album are better. We'll know more in five weeks.
I think this album will be their weakest one yet, but nevertheless, I'm still looking forward for it. This is the only single off of that album that i really love, but it's kind of a grower, so you have to listen it for few times. Golden Pariahs is average as you said, and Misery is probably the worst one yet. But i probably wouldn't necessarily hate this album anyway when it comes out since i love Beyond The Black.
I think I'm of similar opinion to you, I checked out the other singles from this album and 0% interest, which was surprising. The problem is, if your going to basically do pop songs with some metal instrumentation, the songs have to be catchy, otherwise there is nothing in them to make them worth repeat listens. Songs like Heart of Hurricane, Million Light Years are also poopy, but they are good songs and catchy so your like, ok I'll take this.
I had people asking me to react to first 2 singles, and after all the hype I gave the bands first 3 albums I felt like I was letting people down by not liking the new singles. This one will grow on me.
@@bethrobinson94 I didn't want to post the explanation myself as I dont want to be that guy online spreading stuff. However, since you seem troubled over disappointing your viewers, I suggest you do a little research into the background of this band. You will understand that there is no reason for you to feel bad about what you honestly feel about the new songs. If you can't find anything, but want to know, msg me and I'll explain straight up to save you the hassle.
This sounds great especially with Elize, will deffo check them out, thanks for another great reaction vid :)

You can't go wrong throwing Elize on a song. Would be awesome to hear live as a duet me thinks.
