Yas Qween! You must have been reading my mind because I was going to suggest it! I've actually seen it 5 times (3 at the theater)! I just love and adore Patrick as Miss Veda! I wish she was my neighbor! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Fun Facts: In the scene where Sherif "Dullard" puts his hand up Vita's dress, Patric had put a banana in his underwear, Chris Penn's surprised look was unscripted. Also, Julie Newmar was not a part of the film originally, she just happened to be at the studio the day they were filming the final scenes and asked to be in the movie, crowning Miss Chi Chi at the end.
Another great reaction! My favourite part of this movie is Wesley Snipes! It's time to do the ultimate drag film. The Aussie, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994). Kisses!
@@mozyflicks Oh YES. Priscilla and Too Wong Foo are indeed best as a double feature film and cultural analysis lesson. One is indie, edgy, hard, bleak, bold and sharply glamorous, this one, the hollywood counterpart is as would be expected, big budget, big stars, fun, loving, comical, and glamorous in a safe, old hollywood way. A fascinating insight into both the drag scenes in both countries at the time, and the difference between the art that was Priscilla, and the comodity - albeit a delectable one - that was Too Wong Foo.
Fun movie! Some fun cast facts - I know Julie Newmar as Catwoman from the 1960's Batman TV show. Beatrice was played by Blythe Danner who is Gweneth Paltrow's mom. The cast included several real life drag queens - you noticed RuPaul, there was also Miss Coco Peru and a few others who I am not familiar with but who have great names like Miss Understood and Hedda Lettuce.
By the way in the one scene their look like the 3 fairy godmothers, the colours green blue and red and you look stunning and Julie Newmar was the first Catwoman
The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is a way better movie and I will always believe got ripped off by this movie. They might have been made about the same time but someone clearly talked about their idea for a movie.
I mean, i could.... haha! Depending how great the rest of the movie is or isn't i guess. Would you like me to? That would be an interesting one to discuss actually.
Gonna be honest, i honestly don't know what youtube finds offence too at times. So just to be safe, i tend to maybe go overboard with some of the censoring. Just to cover myself. So i do apologise if it sometimes doesn't make any sense.
I like your work overall, but protest! In backwoods USA like Snydersville, no hint of cross dressing ever showed up I attest. Country folk would not guess due to no experience of it.
Movie was a big disappointment for me. I was really looking forward to watching, but it seemed the writers wanted sympathy for the drag stars more than creating funny scenes, of which there were a few, but not nearly enough. Got too syrupy for me.
Please, stop saying "To Wong Fohw." "Foo" is pronounced like "fool." It's not a long "o" sound. I noticed you doing it in your Priscilla reaction, too. Next, since you have seen Wesley Snipes here, as a drag queen, perhaps you might like the "Blade Trilogy." You will realise his range, and that he is a bit under-used/under-appreciated.
John Leguizamo is def my fave here. 💓

I thought she was absolutely fab!! 😍 Along with the other two fabulous babes. 🥳
So fun fact, John Leguizamo met his wife while filming this. She did either make-up or costume behind the camera.
Love it

It was a corn cob not a banana
@@brandonj7458makes more sense too, they were on location in rural Nebraska.

Your description of the movie has always been mine: feel good and a lot of fun.
It really is 😄👍✨

Amazing! Love it 😍👍✨
Wesley Snipes actually burned his whole wardrobe after the movie was done

so many similarities but this is a fun romp. Priscilla was more serious. i love both
If you go to a CGI-heavy superhero movie, do you pick apart its unrealism?
I mean, i could.... haha!
Depending how great the rest of the movie is or isn't i guess.
Would you like me to?

Chi chi was a terrible character in this. Completely selfish.
The actors were great though.
Hehe i agree.
Her arch was interesting though. How she went from self centred, to being more caring. ✨

Probably coz i live under a rock 🤣
If you haven't, you should also watch "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert".
