Right on! Finally got the time to check this one, Mozy. Yep, agreed, this part amped up the blood and gore compared to the original. I only watched it fully some years ago, so it doesn't "feel" like a proper sequel to me, given that I have previously seen other, more recent sequels which I enjoyed more. Supposedly, Carpenter wasn't very enthused by making a direct sequel and he particularly disliked the addition of the sibling connection between the characters. He wanted Michael to be more of a, well, boogeyman! rather than a family serial killer, and his preferred idea for the franchise was to be a sort of anthology oriented, which was poorly attempted with _Halloween III: Season of the Witch_ but alas, the audiences wanted Michael and Laurie, understandably so. Overall, still a decent film, I would say. And the curly haired paramedic, Jimmy, is indeed handsome! Apparently his actor, Lance Guest ( check him in _The Last Starfighter_ ), did that slip stunt by himself and in a single take! He even survives the film, at least in the tv-cut version - quite a feat for somebody in a _Halloween_ movie. Onto H20!

My Mum, 14 at the time, saw this in the cinema when it came out she then had to walk down a dark country lane back home with birds sat all along the telegraph wires. Not a walk I would have enjoyed 😱

I'm 63 years old almost 2 years ago when I watched this movie I ended up in the Hospital I've suffered wt Mental illness all my life it runs in my family I was in a bad depression at the time and seriously this pushed me over the edge my anxiety went through the roof and I spent two days and nights in the hospital it was insane this is the most intense disturbing movies I have ever watched in my entire life I will never ever watch it again but I do like to watch people react to it and see if there's is as bad as mine was thanks for your reaction I hope you sleep well and this doesn't get to you like it got to me❤❤❤

RECOMMENDATION… “MURDER BY DEATH” It’s similar to Clue but even BETTER, also with an all-star cast!🙏

The best film based on a board game! In hindsight, I should have saved that previous ''detective'' comment for this reaction, Mozy! Awesome choice, you were a total riot here, I laughed along the entire time, much as when I watched the film the first time ages ago!! Curry certainly had the most demanding performance, but to me Mrs White was the funniest of them all I would argue, with Mrs Peacock and Mr Green coming close second. (To be fair, my eyes were keen - word play intended! - on the younger Michael McKean, hehe! Woohoo!) The 1976 _Murder by Death_ as many others comments suggest is indeed a good predecessor to check, albeit it is more of a spoof of famous detectives and investigators, but I would also recommend 2022 _Bodies, Bodies, Bodies_ - different tone and style, but obviously somewhat inspired by _Clue_ I would say, however loosely. Go in blind, expect the unexpected and you won't be disappointed. Major *respect* for answering all my Scream comments, few reactors are that interactive with their subscribers! Now I see you did H20 as well, so I am checking this ''custom-made'' trilogy asap, haha! And are you kidding? People would be crazy if they didn't stop with you beside the road! Keep being the best, Mozy!! ✌

You need to watch Bette with Nicole Kidman inStepford Wives. Watching Goldie Hawn in this is pretty much a testament to how Hollywood has always screwed over women to the point they feel they can’t age or put on weight. Is fucked up beyond belief. But that aside. This movie is perfect. ESP if u watch with a group of friends. You can’t help but put yourself in roles of friend groups. Like I was the Goldie lol And hell after the hell I’ve been through with men I will defend women to the end when it comes to saying all men are evil. Well 99 percent lol

Yaay. This is my fave Halloween movie. FYI. It’s Halloween H-2-0. Just being a corrective jerk sorry. This is the only time line for me. Halloween then part 2. Then this. Though I did enjoy the first two of the last trilogy. Even though it Effed up the timeline tried to wipe this movie. Glamor Michelle Williams and Cutie Josh Hartnett. Need anymore? Nope hehe Though , I was loving Michelle in Dawsons Creek hard when this came out. Another Queen. Plus they used the music from Scream in the chase scenes pissed off John Carpenter I thought was funny. It worked but in this film.

Unfortunately, that's not the end. Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends is up next. Halloween Ends is the Big Payoff! The only thing I didn't like about H20 Is Will getting murdered but I guess that was inevitable. BTW, people are right! Stay away from Halloween: Resurrection! Jamie Leigh Curtis dies in it. In fact, Halloween 3, 4, and 5 are a colossal waste of time. They're basicall excuses to make more of these movies.

If you haven't seen the 1988 movie Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, I really recommend! Is so good

You shouldn't have skipped 4, 5 & 6 --- They are important and make H20 better

H20 is my fave of the Halloweens, closely followed by the original Halloween. It gets a lot of hate for some reason, but it deserves a place in the timeline, but it doesn't get it :( Glad you liked it, I have another suggestion as well as Silence Of The Lambs (posted on another reaction)....The Others with Nicole Kidman if you haven't seen it, think you'd love it :)

So I wasn't allowed to watch this movie as a kid because I grew up in a super conservative homophobic household, but had the chance to finally watch it as an adult who does not have the same beliefs, and my goodness is this one of the funniest movies out there. I just love how much fun they poke at conservative religious folk 😂 Nathan Lane kills in everything he's in.

In the games, the characters where usually always wearing the color of their names, in this movie it’s the color of their cars. Lol. It’s kind of sad when you rewatch it and see the desperation in “Mr Boddy” trying to get away and get the others to understand who the real bad guy is, and that’s why he tried to have them kill Wadsworth. Tim Curry saying the line “You, too, ‘Mr Boddy’” takes on a whole new meaning when you know the truth.

H20 is "H" = HALLOWEEN "20" = 20 YEARS LATER

HALLOWEEN H20 is the only one worth a crap out of the whole series. It sticks to what a "scary" movie should be. Most scary movies are just teenaged girls taking their tops off with a few jump scares. This concentrates on storyline and doesn't turn it into soft porn.

Always good to see your reactions. While her performance in this one is way better than others, I still didn’t really like her character. There’s something hardened about her delivery which makes her feel less vulnerable. And based on My Girl, I know she can play more inherently likeable yet sad characters. I was hoping her and her son would have more screen time together. Thought they would after that scene in the kitchen. This is one of my least favorite entries because it doesn’t feel as creepy, which is what I enjoy most about the Halloween movies. As for the people recommending the JLC timeline, I really don’t know what they are smoking. I think they enjoy Laurie more than the actual Halloween atmosphere and/or likeable protagonists. Halloween 4 and 6 (theatrical cut) have far better atmosphere and characters. The protagonists in those beat Laurie any day of the week. Not sorry. lol

The problem with the ones that don't have Jamie Lee Curtis is that they feel like they miss the point of what is compelling about the franchise. The story is about Laurie Strode. That's the bottom line. So when she's not in the movie, Michael just feels like a generic boogeyman doing side quests motivated by who knows what. H20 is my favorite. It really has that late 90s slasher energy to it, but I think it stands up to time. You could almost just watch this film as a stand alone without having seen any of the others.

I also loved the Janet Leigh cameo…and that after giving Laurie advice, she gets in the same car she had in Psycho and drives away…while the soundtrack plays a little motif from the Psycho score over top. Very meta and loved every second. Great reaction mate!

The composer from scream Marco beltrami did additional music here Joshua Jackson was in scream 2 and he and Michele Williams were in Dawson's creek created by scream 2 writer Kevin Williamson The poster also has scream vibes because of the year and dimrnsion films and The exterior of the school doubles as the mansion for scream 3 where Tyson dies 😉

I’m so glad you went this timeline. It really does fulfill it well. Unfortunately, the studio wanted to keep it going and told Jamie this was the final hoorah! That is why? She signed up for it. When they decided to bring it back again, she was over it. And you will see when you see resurrection, which is why? Everyone hates that one😂 The Halloween 2018, Kills and Ends is a timeline based off just the where the first one left off. If you watch halloween 2018 after this. Even tho it has Jamie Lee Curtis in it. It doesn't follow this movie or resurrection. It's 40 years after the first film as if there were never sequels. So that's important to know. Cheers!!

"Halloween H Twenty" 🤣🤣🤣 H Two Oh (like water😉) This is my prefered ending to Laurie's story, and marks the 20th anniversary of the original. Halloween 2018 (H Forty) goes a different direction that I don't really enjoy 😅 Great cast in this one too! Josh Hartnett's debut, Michelle Williams being cute as a button, LL Cool J is always fun, and Jamie Lee Curtis kicking Michael's ass! Josh would do The Faculty shortly after (I love when an actor has good horror roots), and LL Cool J is hilarious in the shark thriller Deep Blue Sea (and sings the ridiculous credits song).

Really enjoyed Jamie Lee Curtis’s performance here. She was supurb. ❤

we need more movies that is this creative. especially a movie with ending being different each time we rewatch. and yes the pieces in the game are all the weapons in the game that I can recall. I've played it 2 or 3 times it's a unique game. But I love the rival game 1313 dead end drive much better. this film does give me flashbacks to the 1986 Haunted Honeymoon, starring a few stars from young Frankenstein and one actress who was in gremlins. very good film. Hope you get a chance to see it. You'll love the crazy aunt.
