Beautiful installation. I was doing this Sound installation work (1972-2000) when everything like Hanging points had to be fabricated. I recently purchased a batch of iQ112's and iQ118's and an Midas M32r for my Jamming Studio. Thank you for posting this because I am totally hyperactive and you made it easy to follow. Now I have about 7 old Soundcraft Desk's and extra channel strips and power supplies out in my garage. This is as small as I will go to mix sound especially with my 2/3XL Hands. Its hard enough playing Guitar or anything smaller. Cheers
This is a great video. I like that you use a Raspberry Pi for your controller. :) The XR18 is my favorite system :)
cheers the raspberry pi 2 is an amazing little computer with xr18. with running xedit software it only uses 2%_of the CPU and with the RTA graph running on a channel goes to 25%. the desktop looks great when I installed a font pack even better looking than windows/Mac version and it's very reliable never had a drop out and it's used every week cheers sandy

Wow so the xr 18 can comunícate wit this type of turbo sound speakers now how do you guys do to turn on off sound system or does the speaker automatically turn off and on when mixer turns on ? This avoid the $ amount of using Xlr cables and instead replace with cheaper Ethernet cables how much is you longest cable in feet for the speaker over Ethernet ? So you can still use the regular xlr aux outputs for any additional usages right this doesn’t t interfere at all with each other ? You could use all those for analog iem output if needed too ?
Any idea how many speakers you can daisy chain for power?
Has anyone had luck using their xr18 on an iPad or iPhone? Does it need a WiFi or cell phone signal to function?
We use it every Sunday using a plugged in external router into xr 18 and put slider to ethernet

www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Mixers/Digital-Mixers/XR18/p/P0BI8. the raspberry connects to the xr18 via cat5 cable and is used to control the mixer
sandy anderson I'd like to know more about the raspberry

Hello ! i am using micxer midas and turbosound speaker iq12 sub iq15b . utranet connection has iq12 speaker explosion can you advise 😊
Sorry no idea never had that problem but try changing your Ethernet cables
Would you say the ultra net connectors to the speakers sound better than a xrl or speaker wire inputs?
Hard to say because only ever used cat5 with this system. But it does allow u to use inexpensive cable but watch out for interference from flickering/faulty halogen lights but maybe it's because I never used shielded cat5. It's a great setup and sounds brilliant cheers sandy
Have you had any problems with the speakers muting themselves? I have found that when FBQ is on while running on Ultranet from our Behringer X32, the speaker output eventually drops to nothing. Switching the speaker off and on again will reset the sound, but after running for a while, it drops to nothing again.
I disabled the FBQ, and have had no problems since.
hi, I have never actually used the FBQ on the speakers because we are in a permanent install so have just eq all the mics etc but thanks for the tip cheers sandy
I had a similar thing running ultranet but the FBQ wasn't on, did you ever get to the bottom of it?
@@keggers101 we just turned off FBQ. No more problems.
Does djing mp3 sound great thru these speakers am rcf user! Is the dsp really that good on these new iq12 & iq15
sorry I'm not an expert but for live sound ie speech or singing they sound brilliant compared to our old system which was Bose panaray. played an Andre riue DVD with pie jesu and the "fullness" of sound was phenomenal. hope that helps, sandy
I just purchased the speaker does it have a built-in amplifier or do you have to buy one
It's built in!
@@sandyande thanks thought it was so all I need is to connect it to my computer or do I need any else to go with it
